Happy Sunday

Weighed in this morning, up a couple of pounds which I sort of expected. I had gone thru some rapid loss but now that my emotional state, eating habits and general life are getting back to normal that had appeared earlier in the week. Decided to post it today as I have probably leveled out. No worries, still lost 7 lbs this month so far.

Excited about picking up our new electric bicycles this week. We have been thinking about buying them for some time now. Took the plunge yesterday. It was definately a splurge but well worth it. Can easily switch from pedal power to assisted power to manage the huge hills. We also have a wonderful rails to trails system here out in rural CT and can ride forever on those. Also good for quick trips around town. Great for minimizing the carbon footprint and doing our share for the eco-movement!!

Did some seafood shopping yesterday on our way home. Had baked shrimp & scallops last night. Also bought some wild salmon and a nice piece of swordfish for later in the week. Hubby and I agreed that we could eat fish every day and pass on the beef, chicken and pork proteins.
Dinner tonight??? I think it will be Mediteranean Turkey Burgers and salad.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Looks like you're doing great Babs. It took me a while to discover that it's OK to see temporary gains on the scale. My weighloss has definately "see-sawed" up and down over the last month but looking at the whole picture, it's going the right direction. Enjoy those new electric bikes. Sounds like a lot of good times are coming your way.

OK, I officially want to come live with you for at least a week. I've always wanted to visit New England & if I ever plan a trip I'm coming to see you!!! The bikes & trails sound awesome, & my sister & mom & I were just talking last night about how we need to go out & eat some seafood. I'll bet it's cheaper in your neck of the woods than it is here in the armpit of the midwest.

Kat- You are welcome any time, we are definately in a sweet little spot here in the northeast. We do have some awesome seafood in these parts. We are planning a trip in August up to this huge lobster festival in Wallport Maine. Our first time there, should be a blast. going with my cousin and her husband who have been there several times. LOBSTER=NOM NOM!

That seafood sound delicious! We have it here too but I prefer it when someone else buys it, cleans it, cooks it, etc. LOL! Losing 7 pounds in a stressful month is just fantastic - good for you! And...I want to give you a standing ovation for recording your weight today, even if it was up a bit. "No worries" is exactly right!

It's so good to see you settling in again to your routine - with hubby by your side. I'm not much of a seafood eater, but I am a bit envious about the bikes. Your environment seems to be the perfect place to enjoy them and get some awesome exercise. Have a healthy and productive week!
