Hermiones Mom's Journal, 20 May 2011

OK -- for the first time in the past year I have no choice but to record a gain. It's hard to believe that a 5-day vacation could do that much damage, but I guess it did. I am trying not to be discouraged because based on how my clothes fit, I'm actually smaller than I was a month ago. I bought some pants at Chico in early March, and they're falling off me. But it is what it is, so I just have to stick with the program and move forward.
180.0 lb Lost so far: 54.0 lb.    Still to go: 38.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Think of the fun you had. Also, you worked very hard to minimize the gain. One hiccup does not do you in. Once you're back down it will just prove this is a lifestyle change, not just another diet.

Thanks Babs and Chip. I am back into my routine now, and I did have fun -- once I got my clothes from United (that took til Day 3). I did pretty well this past week, and still gave myself my splurge day on Friday. But I do think I'm going to try to get myself back down to 1350 calories per day. I'd pushed the calorie count up for the past couple of months because I had suddenly found myself hungry, but starting tomorrow, I'm going to try dropping back down again -- at least until I see the scale move a bit in the right direction!
