Not surprised by the gain so much as by the small-ish amount of the gain. There have been days where I felt super fat, and days where I didn't feel that I looked any bigger, and my clothes still feel the same. It's been a long month+, but things are starting to fall into place.

Work: I applied for two different internal positions at work, and have my second interview for one of them this coming Tuesday. I've been told its down to two or three of us for this one. The other position, I've been told, I'll be getting an email about this week to put in a bid for a shift. They also implemented mandatory overtime last week, which isn't as bad as I thought it'd be (its an extra hour at the end of my shift to meet business needs, so its more money. I thought it'd be a bit more taxing on my sanity than it has been up to this point, and I'm hoping it stays that way. Plus, its not like I have kids so there's no worry about things like daycare for that additional time).

Moving: ...is still in progress. We have until July 1st to get the apartment completely cleaned out (there's just a few small items left there, along with the headboard to our old bed and our bookshelf). Its looking like we'll need to clean it out next Sunday, because Saturday I have a kickball tournament for work (which ran from 9AM - 3PM last year because we kicked @$$ and fought through to the finals). The new place is pretty much fully functional now. There were quite a few issues that came up after we'd moved in, a few of which still need to be hammered out, but we're able to cook, clean, shower and do our laundry here, so its quite the livable space now (Sidenote: There was about a week and a half where we couldn't use the upstairs bathroom, which contains our only shower, because it'd leak into the kitchen ceiling).


Fitness: I'm working on getting back on track with this. Thursday and Friday night I pulled out my CRUNCH Yoga/Pilates DVD and did that for a bit both nights. Saturday was spent slinging more boxes for our move, and today I went for a jog/walk around the neighborhood after I'd mowed the lawn (which is super tiny and takes all of 15 - 20 minutes with the push mower). The plan is to get back into the habit of going to the gym after work, too. I'm also going to try and be more strict with my food tracking here. I've been making excuses and have been lax lately with the tracking.

That's not a bad bump at all. You can get back on track and make some progress. I'm glad things are settling down somewhat.
