Good Morning, FS Warriors! Yay! Finally broke through that 230 lb. barrier. 229.0 lbs. Got up a little late this morning at circa 4:15, and did 3.3 miles at an easy pace. Techie running shirt is supposed to wick the sweat away and keep me dry, but when the air is almost as wet as I am, there's nowhere for the water to go. I'd take a bar of soap along for the run and wash my clothes in transit, but I don't think salt water is all that great for washing clothes. :D Great dinner last night at home: pork tenderloin, corn on the cob and a salad loaded with everything but meat, with yogurt blue cheese dressing. I haven't been snacking in the evening, and that makes a big difference. To be honest, I've avoided bulking up on food at night, not so much because of the diet, but because I don't like abrupt calls of nature while I'm out running.

Anyway, I've got a busy weekend. I've got a friend who pulled the complete rear axle out of his truck, and it looks like it will fit the old '59 truck I bought earlier. The 59's existing rear end was geared so high back then, that with the engine wide open, I would be doing about 55 mph on the highway, and probably with a whole lot of shakin going on. So, I'm going to pick that up. I'm doing a couple of solo's at this gospel singspiration tomorrow evening, and I could use a little more practice with those songs. The Pastor of the church is preaching on something to do with brotherly love or something and asked if I could possibly sing a solo of "He's not Heavy, He's my Brother" Sunday morning at church. I told him that's too tough a song for me to learn in just a couple days, but then I told him, I'll see what I can do, and then after I fooled around with the key and the chord arrangement, I text'd him that I would do it. And now, I see that I need a LOT more practice for that one. However, the more I practice it, the more I love the song. I won't record it and listen to myself though; I'm sure I wouldn't do it then. LOL! Life is certainly interesting. Who'da thunk I would be a singing sensation in my 60's! Haha! Gotta love it! What's next? Perhaps I'll apply to be a contestant on America's got Talent or even Naked and Afraid. JK. No way! No How! What possesses a person to do that Naked and Afraid show anyway? Anyway, life is good, and the alternative sucks! Toodles!

New decade DK. Congrats. I snack at night and am beginning to rethink that, asking myself if I quit the nighttime munchies, would it assist in a better loss. Or, just a loss. There are lots of singing sensations out there in their 60's. It's our generation. You're just a late bloomer, but I suspect you've had the talent all along. Until they stop blurring the "lines" I refuse to watch Naked and Afraid. ;~)

LOL ... anytime I'm feeling like I'm missing out by no longer having cable or satellite someone mentions something like a show titled 'naked and afraid' and I go 'nope... not missing much' I could see you on America's Got Talent though. Well, I could imagine it. Can't watch that anymore either. Maybe you could sing AND bath on stage while you run!
