madanjen's Journal, 03 June 2014

Business is taking a lot of my time lately. I lost .2 pounds since yesterday but shooting for more. It's down so I can be too unhappy. Monday's are my upper body weight training workout days and I did get that in. But daily, I have riding my bike for a minimum of 30 minutes which I didn't to.

I am blaming it on getting busy but honestly, I could have gotten the ride in but I was so drained mentally that I chose playing my guitar. I am leaving on my ride in 5 minutes and will do a lower body weight workout later. I WOULD LOVE IT IF YOU SHARED ONE SHORT TIP WITH OUR BUDDIES AND TRY TO HELP EACH OTHER. HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Great job on the loss. Whichever workout is harder for you to get done, you could try doing it first so that it'll be out of the way. We need to decide what our priorities are and then make sure the most important ones get done daily :)

I submitted a diet tip at FS, but not sure if anyone saw it: Use a stopwatch to remind you how long you have been sitting at the computer! Take a break and walk around or march in place, etc. timeanddate.com/stopwatch/

Madanjen, you told me to put the remote down and exercise while watching TV. That's a good one. It's not going to happen but it's a good one. -Just kidding maybe some hand weights during commercials.

Deb, I like the stopwatch idea. I can also program my phone with notifications during the day. An alarm and a motivating message might be cool.

One thing that i do is lift small hand weights while watching TV. It makes me sit up straighter and I'm doing something good for me.

Chicalean, I use power bands to change the routine. Think about this, the average hour tv show is about 36% commercials from what I read a while back. So, you can get about a 20 minute workout as you watch Sheldon act more narcissistic. If you watch 2 hours of TV a night, that's 40 minutes of light or intense workout; whichever you choose. Just a thought.
