Tracy - Please help with the language barrier - what is the English definition of cider? And if the worst that happens is toast at 1 AM then I don't think too much harm was done. Sounds like you had a good time yesterday. Before you got into the cider - what kind of shopping got done? Any treasures to report?

Oh my I think this is a record for not visiting FS - it's really late here and have been working flat out in the garden all day, so only a quick catch up - think I might even have a bit of a tan! @Radiochick - LOL, of course, no half measures done when celebrating..all or nothing!! The pink flowers you were asking about are Chaenomeles (Flowering Quince, Japonica) - they have "fruit" called quince - I use the word fruit loosely as they are pretty inedible, very bitter, I believe some people make jam with them, but you would need to add a tonne of sugar just to get them to taste nice @Bren my day was really beautiful thank you, I hope you got some of our lovely sunshine we had today. @Buffy - cider is a beer made from apples, not a very good meal substitute by diet standards, but most enjoyable :) But as I did not have dinner when I came home felt hungry so tucked into toast...I think that is why my scales were up bread always makes me heavy for a few days....I'm hoping it does not show on my weigh in tomorrow for our challenge. I just did boring food shopping, I did have a look at some clothes, but decided that I don't want to buy anything until I've lost more weight, otherwise will be a waste :) I hope you all had a lovely Sunday :)

Tracy - with the beautiful weather coming on I think it is reat that people are off doing other things. And I had a pretty good idea of what English Cider was - here it is just apple juice. My father used to make the real stuff - we helped ourselves right out of the spigot in a big wooden barrel.

Beer...from apples? That sounds so cool! Here cider is just a spiced apple juice, usually served hot and spiked with alcohol(not sure what kind, though lol) or just plain and cold. And I would LOVE some toast right now...maybe with strawberry jam or applebutter/sauce with cinnamon...grrr!
I need to go shopping, too. I have no summer clothes, and the few things I wore last summer(basically just guys shorts) are too big now. I saw some super cute tops/dresses at this store in the mall...exactly what I'm looking for. I just need to get some money and someone to take me shopping lol.
