Hi Cindy... how did he get published? Did he get a big publishing house or is he self-published? I have four books done. I am likely to go the route of not having an agent... I do like Ruby Tuesday's salad bars, I went to one on Thursday evening. It is not large, but there is plenty there.

Hi Glenn!! My husband's co-author is his best friend and a pullitzer-nominated journalist who had two or three books already in contract before asking my husband to join him on this one. I don't think the best friend used an agent, he got prompt interest on the first book and has been sailing from there in the publishing department. I guess the subject (baseball) is popular. Now, if only we could start seeing some $$!! Good luck with your books! And yes, Ruby Tuesday salad bar is yummy!!

Thanks for the info. It is a roll of the dice getting published. I can't get anywhere. I contacted a local publishing house to see if I could pay to publish a book, they are probably too busy, so I will contact another next week. It is not a career - a writer - I would recommend to anyone. I have four books done, but without a top-notch Ivy League creative writing degree many agents could care less.

I am not giving up with the writing however, it is my life. I had a mental collapse at age 32 - there was nothing left I could do -so I know this is where God wanted me to focus all my energy all along - with the writing - even if I don't have a college degree at all.
