My buddy is using this, and it is very close to my longterm eating practices. My family history has diabetes, and I have always been light on the carbs, prefer natural/organic.

This diet does seem too high on the fruits, though. So, I won't be doing as much fruit or fruit juices as I saw on the recommended diet list. Also have to watch the high-carb veggies.

My nutritionist is urging me to eat what amounts to snacks throughout the day, rather than meals. I've never seen this as a good thing, but it does seem to work. So, I'll give it my best shot.

Therefore, apples, munchy veggies like celery, nuts, etc. These will become my mainstays. And, of course, meat in some form or another.
