Good Morning, FS Warriors!
Well, I'm back at work this morning. I got up at 4:00 and decided to do my run/walk program. If that went well, and I still felt good afterwards, then I would go to work. Well, here I am. Surprisingly, I was pumped for my run this morning. I think it was from reading the articles in Runners World yesterday. It was an issue dedicated to weight loss. There were quite a few examples of people who had lost 100+ pounds and went on to run marathons and ultra-marathons. Some of the articles were about people who ran the Boston Marathon and weren't able to finish because of the bombing. Even though they issued the medals to the runners whether they finished or not, some said they would not wear the medal until they actually completed the marathon. Can you imagine qualifying for the Boston Marathon and getting within 1/2 mile of finishing and not being able to because of the comotion at the finish line? And once word of what happened filtered back up to you, even wondering whether your waiting friends and relatives were injured? That had to be a very stressful situation. Anyway, I'm down another pound; I think this stomach virus helped me break through this wall that I was up against. Funny how things work out sometimes. The thought of some foods still nauseate me. I don't even want to look at pizza, beenie weenies, or barbecued pork for a while yet. I am a coffee-aholic and I haven't had a cup of coffee for 3 days. I might venture having a cup of hot tea today, but I'm drinking plenty of water. Anyway, here's hoping things return to normal, within moderation :). Toodles!

You've lost. I suppose the only positive thing about being ill. Take care.

I know, Rocky! I'm just a shell of my former self. I'm sure I'll come to my senses eventually. Right now though, I don't have that dry dehydrated feeling, and I've got to tell you, I'm kind of liking it. Had tea just a bit ago though.

I, too, am impressed about the no coffee for three days. I couldn't do it! Agree - re bombing. What a tragedy (and also internally for those who we're attempting to accomplish a goal, only to be thwarted by those cowards who wanted to hurt others). Way to go on the exercise - glad you're feeling a bit better!

:::looking around for the pod... body snatchers at play here... evidenced by no coffee:::

Good job on the coffee... I love it, but try and limit the number of cups I drink to 1 or occasionally 2 a day... And if I am poorly, I usually go off it... Good excuse for you to change your habits now :-)

Sounds like some great encouragement in those articles, always good to stay upbeat. That is so sad about the Boston Marathon runners, but at least they escaped harm & that's a very good thing. Sorry about your tummy bug, but glad it helped you break the plateau. That's what I'm struggling with right now, the scale just doesn't want to budge, at least not downward, LOL! But I'll never give up, & love what you say on your profile, that if you don't lose the 1.5 lbs this week you will do it next week. Making that my motto too! Have a great week.
