bbosch30's Journal, 02 April 2014

grrrr. . .1! .1 up... The fact that my in week weigh in is about half a kilo higher is really starting to get me down. One thing is its early and while u hate to be crude my bodily functions haven't quite caught up. so I do feel being "blocked" is part of the reason. I've increased my intermittent fasting so I close the windows now at 20.30 and open just after 12. I'm also wondering if lunch of around 400 calories could be the issue? my daily totals stay under 1200 here so given possible margin of error I'd guess my actuals to range between 1200 and 1500. so fairly low. net carbs average around 10-15 so again given margin of error between 10-20 safe. I'm considering adding flax back but I know that it causes water retention and takes a few days to."get going".
not quite sure what to do... really would like to end this month at a stable 62. If I can average 1 kg a month give or take that would be ideal. If I can be below the 60s by say June then that's exactly on track. I seem to be at the lower 63 higher 62.
I guess I'm just trying so hard and feeling a bit deflated. I watch people around me shovelling junk into their mouths with no issue. sucks!

First of all, avoid comparing yourself to others. Others are just "gifted" with good metabolism (or whatever they call it). Just focus on your goals and don't be too hard on yourself. Personally, I see each day as a challenge and try my best to make all the right choices and hope and pray that my body catches up with my plan. In the last month, 2 out of 4 weeks have not turned out the way I wanted (scale-wise) even if I did pretty well with my eating and exercises. But I don't feel bad about it because I know that I gave it my best shot and that I know that my body will just catch up eventually. The fact that I am still very much committed to this journey after 3 months of challenges is a victory I choose to celebrate everyday no matter what the scales say. =)

Thanks ZivaDavid11! I know better than to let myself be ruled by the scale, and certainly not to compare myself to other people. But I'm just having one of those days :) I'm actually considering just stopping my in week weigh in's since they are on average a bit higher during the week. Its just those evil little arrows! lol. thanks for the words of encouragement, really do appreciate it !

You're welcome! =) I understand where you are coming from bbosch30. I have days like that too. But at the end of the day, willingly choosing to keep pushing is a big thing already. And we are doing that for ourselves.
