madanjen's Journal, 31 March 2014

Took my bike ride this morning to get Monday started in a good way. It's motivating to see other walking and running and riding their bikes on the boardwalk and getting healthy. Maybe that's another reason I love the beach.

I lost .2 pounds, not much but I broke the 243 mark at 242.8 and the 230's are a few days away. At the end of April, I'm in the 220's and in the 210's by the end of May. My 3 month goal is to be at 209 a few days after my birthday in June. That cake is going to be delicious! :)

I'll leave you with this....REMEMBER. YOU DON'T NEED A NEW YEAR TO MAKE A CHANGE...ALL YOU NEED IS A MONDAY.
242.8 lb Lost so far: 26.2 lb.    Still to go: 77.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Is your Monday a Wednesday? :)

Thanks. I find it easier to eat healthy during the week but exercise more during the weekend. Am I alone in this?

Well I would think it depends on what your time schedule is. What you do and such. I'm struggling to find a day not to exercise since it is a good idea to let your body rest and such. As for how much I exercise per session...I set a time and just do it till it's over and push to do better. I don't think I answered your question correctly.

A busy day! And actually, I screwed that up... SATURDAY is my Monday. =( But when i did my huge diet restart, I chose Wednesday because I knew it was going to take a lot of effort to get Paleo going. So glad I chose a 3-4 step way to it. Step 1 is crazy hard enough! So much cooking that I'm not use to! =/

Diets like what?

Diets that force you to cook so much- I guess I just like convenience better haha.

Oh, she must be referring to mine. lol Well, luckily my fiance and I both like cooking. We just have never done it to this level before. In a way, we are looking forward to learning how to make things from scratch. He isn't totally doing the diet with me though, only for the meals we share. To ease the strain, We try to make enough at dinner so I can take leftovers to work for lunch. I keep thinking up ways to make this smarter, not harder. 2 weeks in and it already seems easier. And we know a couple of restaurants that make their own dressings, marinades, etc so when we need a night off, we have a couple options for fairly safe eating for me.
