Asarver's Journal, 29 March 2014

Today was my second 5K race!! My time was 31:35 which I am a little dissappointed about. I really felt like I could have made it under 30 minutes. I did however, run THE ENTIRE TIME. No stopping. It felt amazing (and like I was gonna puke all over everyone at the end), but I did it. I also managed to keep my pace the same the entire time (I should've kicked it up a little more towards the end). All in all, I think I did well (my inner got to be the best at everything is struggling when I say that and wants to scream I failed), and I really can't wait to run my next race.

As far as my weight goes, the gain was to be expected. I did awful this week. And I want to make excuses like I was pretty much at school for 10 hours and yada yada. I WILL do better this week. I HAVE to. All I can think about is how ugly I look in my wedding dress. UGH.

Speaking of wedding though, my bachelorette party is May 9th, and we're goign to VEGASSSS!!!! Pretty excited about that (also more motivation to lose weight). All this motivation, yet I seem to not be doing anything. Hopefully that changes soon.

I'm sure you don't look ugly in the dress and I'm certain the groom sees your inner and outer beauty. Enjoy your wedding and the process. Many of us, girls, did not because we were fretting about the things that really turned out not to matter. Learn from our lessons. Celebrate each stage of your new body even if that means changing (drumroll, please) the dress!

YES!!!! That's fantastic !!!!! I'm aiming for my first to be 45-50 minutes at my fast walk. I can do the first .75 miles in 11 minutes at the mall, 1.5 miles in 23 minutes; 2.25 miles in 35 minutes (in the middle of which I start fading) so I plan on 10-15 minutes to do the last .85 mile or to take up the slack if I'm slower out of the gate than I've planned. If it takes longer, I'll still be proud I finished. I am so proud of you !!!
