mrsmole's Journal, 10 February 2014

I'm not going to worry about the .4 pounds I'm up. It's just the salad and fruit I had yesterday that's hanging out, taking up space. Should be a great week ahead. Easter Challenge starts tonight and I'm looking forward to that!

I was looking at dresses online today and thinking about this fancy event that I'll be attending in January 2015. Yes, it's perhaps a little early to be dress shopping for an event that's still 11 months out that's NOT a wedding, but just being able to browse size 12 dresses realistically because that's what size I should be by then gave me the determination to keep going!

I didn't buy anything and I won't until I'm maybe a size 14, but it doesn't hurt to look and dream!

I read an article a while ago that was about how we live through our dreams. It talked about how wonderful we feel after taking a vacation or throwing a huge successful party, etc. And how the event itself didnt create near as much joy as the time where you dreamed and anticipated the event leading up to it. It was an enlightening read and I believe it to be true. And I am applying that way of thought to this weightloss journey. Our dreams keep us alive, keep us striving for more.

I'm so glad you said that! There are days, even moments, when this diet sucks and I hate it. During those times, I stop, take a breath, and remember that there will be times in the future when I will look back and actually MISS this chapter in my life when I had a goal this big and ambitious to fight for. So I take a step back and savor the moment of difficulty and try really hard to enjoy the journey, as well as look forward to the destination. :) Thank you for the wisdom on a Monday. I really needed that!

I weigh every morning as a spot check but only record my weight once a week here (on my Weight Watchers day) because that daily number can fluctuate so much based on what a woman's body goes through. And clothes shopping is so much fun now !!!!

"Hanging out taking up space" ? You have a way with words - LOL. And, at the rate you are losing you'll be doing some real shopping very shortly.

I have done the same thing! It's a way to keep me on track, and a great way to reach goals! You'll get there. HAVE FUN WITH IT! And keep dreaming <3

How exciting! I love looking at clothes that I feel will look good on me with a few less bulges, lol. I have two beautiful dresses (both size 14) that I bought for weddings I was in (brother's and my daughter's). Neither one looks right on me right now, so I am looking forward to fitting comfortably in them in a few months.

WTG Mrs. Mole! You keep up that mentality and you'll be the size 12 before you know it!
