OK; so I had a tough week, and my visit to the nutritionist was tough also. I hadn't lost any weight. She forgot to do the measurements. She was mad at me because I was a few minutes late; never mind that she's been late the last few appointments. She was mad at me because she is looking for someone to work there part time on Mondays only, and I gave her # to a friend of mine; anyway, my friend cancelled the interview, because it wasn't enough hours and pay for her . . . . suddenly this is my fault? She was mad at me as if I did something wrong, whereas she can't even answer basic questions at times. Even working with a "professional" it's trial and error and things change, your body changes, how it reacts changes. . . . So I didn't drink the two green teas every day and I didn't have her gross acai berry drink and I ran out of the relora my dr. gave me and . . . . and . . . I'm just venting here. . . . So I didn't lose any weight but we are not machines . . . .

you are correct, darling girl, we are not machines. you deserve to know that you are a human being, a woman with a heart and a soul who is doing so very much to connect to her humanity and love life. Hugs to you for taking care of so many people, things and activities. Much love

Definitely! It would have been nice if she was more supportive. This is a difficult journey after all. Anyway, we are here for you! =)

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” ― Hippocrates Not only is this profound but in my experience it is completely and utterly true... When a "Health Care Professional" attempts to push a product, any product, I am always leery of them. Dr. Oz is infamous for doing this and the products he recommends fly off the shelf. However if people would eat a nutrient rich diet they wouldn't need to buy into Raspberry Keotones or Acai Berry Juice etc... Those items are costly and there is not scientific or medical evidence that they do what the so called professionals are touting. In this day and age it's buyer beware... We all need to take a stance against buying into these so called miracle fixes and eat a well balanced nutritional diet and we need to move and exercise. I'm so sorry your Nutritionalist was unkind to you, you don't deserve that from anyone!

I would find another nutritionist. Great job on the losses though.

You're not venting, you're giving good explanations for losing that 'nutritionist'. She's not on your team, just in your purse. I agree with mardee57 and Suzi161, you need someone on your side 24/7, has empathy, and doesn't beat you up when she or you are having a difficult time.

so, the next morning I was down 2 pounds. how dumb! the #'s go up and down very easily . . . this nutritionist got me off to a good start and a basic plan, but she definitely has her limitations. anything more I want to accomplish, I'm going to have to research on my own. I have paid her for weekly visits for the year! it worked out much cheaper that way, and i was sure it would help keep me motivated and accountable . . . . i have to see how i feel about it next week; a weekly visit with a bad attitude is not going to work!
