Still very cold here, -10.5 this morning. Thought our pipes had froze again. When I turned on the faucet in the kitchen a dribble came out of the faucet. I kept trying and eventually booth the hot and cold water ran. Whew. So I plugged in the heater for under the house and, quick like a bunny, did up the dishes and made a pot of coffee. I've had a drip going all night and will need to leave it on all day. Also kept the 2 fires going all night. Was disappointed on my weigh in. It's the same. Oh well. Can't have water running and weight loss the same day, right? It is supposed to warm up and snow this weekend. I hope it does. This cold weather in this off the grid house sucks. I felt awful yesterday evening. Very tired, short of breath, and heartburn? I've been eating well so I have no idea what that was all about. I'm going to come home early today. Will find something I can work on from home. See if we can manage to survive this cold spell and still be able to shower. Yikes! Still I am grateful ... For getting the water to run, for wood, for coffee, and for the hope of warmer temps. Sorry this is one paragraph. I couldn't log into fatsecret from safari on my iPad this morning and this app doesn't permit me to make paragraphs. I know it is much colder other places but this is VERY cold for here. Enjoy your warmth wherever it may be! Take care!

Glad you got that water working. That must have been a scare.. No movement on the scale but no bad movement on the scale either and that is good. I hope it warms up there soon. We have a 15 degree drop from yesterday but still 65 here now so much better than freezing. Hope your water is still working when you get back so you can enjoy a nice hot shower. Have a happy day!

All that work you are doing just to keep warm will knock at any hopes of becoming a Diva. Thank goodness for the little things.

Stay warm. The scales have a mind of their own. You are doing great.

Yay for water! Our pipes in the kitchen do the same thing. So long as we leave a trickle going we don't worry too badly about them. If the problem gets too bad there is always the heat tape that you wrap around your pipes and plug in to keep them warm. I always wondered how this worked with cold water though. The stress of frozen pipes probably kept the scale in place. You'll be dropping again in no time!

Alas DairyFarmersWife ... great idea about the heat tape EXCEPT we live off grid so never leave anything plugged in!! I did have a drip going all night!! Will do the same tonight and keep my toes and fingers crossed.
