Wednesday and a balmy -8.5 degrees outside. There is a reason young people have babies. They are more resilient. I set my alarm for every few hours last night to feed the fire and boy am I tired this morning!! Sort of like having an infant in the house. YIKES!!

I was able to bring some work home and scoot home a little early yesterday to keep those fires burning. Hoping to do the same today. It is one of the perks of my job ... I have a lot of flexibility.

As for the scale, I truly thought I'd be back to where I was before Super Bowl, or even below by today but alas, no. I am heading in the right direction but good grief those pizzas are hanging on oh so stubbornly. I did fine yesterday, sticking to my "feeding hours" and keeping the calories down.

Did managed to squeeze in some elliptical yesterday. Need to decide if I'm going to pop in Pilates or Yoga this morning and hopefully a few minutes on the elliptical as well. First thing first though, I NEED my coffee!!!

Today will be another layered day as I venture out into the frigid north. Seriously this area doesn't typically get these cold, cold temps. This is the second time this season. Hopefully we can avoid frozen pipes though ... that was not fun when it happened in December. Where is my balmy 25 degrees????

Grateful I am for ...

silky long underwear
flexible working hours
gorgeous blue skies even if it is freezing cold outside (so beautiful!)
being back on track
feeling better

Take care ... be good to yourselves!!!

Good morning, yeah for flexible hours. Be safe out there. Our commute was messy today too but at least we aren't frigid temps like usual (just -5 celcius) and I don't drive so my commute by transport was fine. Hope those pizzas leave you soon.

Good Morning Carol!! Glad you are keeping warm. At least you are getting your exercise in which is more than I can say for myself. lol I am looking forward to being able to start up again. Yea sure well I know I need to start up again when I am able and to be honest I have to say I like having an excuse not too. Terrible that I wrote that...but true. Hope you have a great day!!

You sound good carol. I feel crappy about our ice and snow and realize that some people would call this crappy 25 degrees "balmy" thank for the reminder to be grateful. The pizza will eventually leave the building : )
