It's been 5 days since I've started watching my eating. I've lost 3 lbs though I suspect it's a little higher in reality. I didn't actually do my first weigh in until after the first day of healthy eating... and knowing my body, that could mean that I actually started 2-3 pounds higher.

I'm not stressing over it though. 3 pounds is okay for me this week.

I've set my weigh in days to Sundays.

I got home from work at 8 a.m. and crawled into bed. I felt so defeated and tired and just blah. I had a piece of cake at work last night.. two actually (both small pieces). I had not eaten much during the day and by the time I got to work at 7 last night I was STARVED.

We went to the National D-Day (WWII) museum in New Orleans as a part of Boy Scout/Cub Scout day. We spent 3.5 hours walking around the museum explaining things to our son. It was so interesting. Toward the end of it, I got super emotional and had to just walk away from everything.

Turns out that I started this morning with my time of the month which explains a few things.
1)I slept ALL day when I got home today. I was over-exhausted for no reason.
2) I cried like a baby at the D-Day museum. I'm not usually that sensitive.
3) I pretty much snapped James' head off this morning when I got home and crawled into bed.
4) I could NOT resist that cake last night... especially with the chocolate filling.
5) I felt bloated almost all week. My ring was tighter than normal even though I've cut back on salt!
312.0 lb Lost so far: 14.0 lb.    Still to go: 112.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Congrats on being 3 lbs down. At my job three people have had the bipass surgery and their weight is seemingly falling off. No one has even noticed that I lost any weight. It can be discouraging. Hang in buddy.

WHOO-HOO girl! Way to go! Now to get through these next few days. Then that bloating, moods, etc should even out! KUDOs to you!

Thanks for the motivation! Surgery is definitely not for me. I know I can do this with hard work and determination! It does get frustrating when people don't notice, but as long as my jeans feel looser, I'm not waiting for some big acknowledgment from anyone else! As long as my jeans acknowledge me, I'm doing good!
