The awful truth....... Eating constantly all the wrong foods for extended periods of time with little or no exercise makes you gain weight. I now weigh almost 18 pounds MORE than I did in August. My current weight is 18 pounds LESS than this time last year, so at least I didn't gain it ALL back. It's time to buckle down and get back to where I was. I loved being 125 pounds - it felt great. Right now I am doing a juice fast to detox and try to eliminate the cravings. Then I will go back to my original diet based on Lindora "Lean for Life" then I'll switch back to the 5:2 because It was the only way to get un-stuck from the plateau I had going with Lindora.
142.6 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 13.6 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

Yep I hear you. Summer got me with 14 pounds from too many carbs from summer cookouts. Now I know and will just try to never fall into that trap again. Wishing you the best!

Strength to you Maggie! As long as you are not willing to quit then all is good! :) Just one thing I thought I should mention. Fruit juice usually has little fruit fiber which would otherwise prevent a lot of the sugar in the fruit to be absorbed. What's more, usually only one cup of fruit juice is made of several pieces of fruit and containing all the sugar on all of them. It's very easy to drink a glass of orange juice for example and that is equivalent to eating like 4 or 5 oranges with the added problem of most the sugar on those oranges being absorbed because of the absence of fiber. It's always better to eat the fruits themselves than fruit juice because of this because you will usually be satiated with 1 or 2 oranges (for example) at most (because of the fiber) These are not simple carbs but the sugar can still raise our glicemia (especially in the form of juice) and it will also still account for many calories. I just thought I should say this :) It's wonderful to eat fruit, despite the fact that it has carbs (complex ones). Fruits have antioxidants that have many beneficial properties, will fight off cancer and make you generally healthier overall but be careful with fruit juice. :) I feel your pain! It's definitely horrible not to be able to eat the foods we want when we want. But I some take comfort in knowing that our tastes somehow adjust with time to the foods that are not so tasty for us at first. I usually try to think of junk food as poison. That usually helps. It's not that far from the truth lol. I still want to eat it but it helps lol. Strength to you!
