Celebrated Christmas this past week, early since my husband will be gone the next 2 weeks. Ate horribly, lots of sweet treats. Decided to take the full plunge and am startinga 21 day sugar detox as of today. As well as 4 week excersice, no ex uses challenge. I know that I need to seriously challenge myself to be motivated enough to do what I want to. I'm going to be recording my progress here everyday. I'm really excited about it right now, I did a good job at cutting out most sugars and grains last month up until my husband came back home and the holiday sunk in completely. I'm hoping the 21 days will force me to be more successful when he's home since it will fall into his home time, and I'm stubborn when I really commit, so I won't want to fail! It's been hard already today, but I am opening my eyes to bad habits that I don't even really notice anymore. I was poring cereal for my kids this morning, and grabed a few pieces and put them in my mouth without even thinking, had to spit them out! And was so tempted to sneak a scoopful of peanut butter when making peanut butter and honey wraps for lunch. Just stopping the mindless eating has been the struggle today! Decided to skip breakfast and start out with an 18 hour fast. Had 2 eggs 2 pieces of Bacon and 2 mini peppers for lunch. Going to make a venison roast for dinner. Haven't done my workout yet, plan on getting it in while the little ones rest.

Why do hubbies make us stray from our good habits. I do so much better since my hubby switched to nights. But his eating and weight has been better to now. No more heavy dinners!

I know its so bad. I do great while he is away, not so much while he is home. The worst is breakfast for us. It is normally pancakes, waffles, French toast, the occasional oatmeal, not a healthy start to the day! I cant figure out what I can feed him that is healthy. He hates anything with eggs, and isn't a big fan of much else. But I can easily make myself some eggs along with breakfast and need to do that, or have some of my paleo cereal instead!

You can make pancakes and waffles ahead and freeze them. just pop them in the toaster to reheat and they are still delicious. I do that in the summer with my kids. You can freeze muffins and French Toast too then it will be less tempting for you just to fix your eggs or cereal. :) Merry Christmas!
