I'm feeling like I'm fighting a cold or sinus infection, so will take it easy, or as easy as I can, today. It sounds like we're getting more snow, so I should be homebound anyway. But, I'm relieved after my weekend splurges that my weigh in was kind, and I'm happy to be back on track staying my course gluten, lactose & sugar aware, the 5:2 IF way.

In addition to the food logging here, the EWYL-BE workshops have us keeping an awareness journal as much as we can. I'd been especially trying to do so on the weekends, but that went out the window last weekend for the most part. But, I'm determined to get back to it as it has been helpful & informative. Last week the focus was on the body-mind-heart-scan & how hungry/full we felt before & after eating, and this week its again on how hungry/full we feel when we eat & what we choose to do when we want to eat but are not hungry -- which of the 3 options from yesterday's journal we choose. Last weekend, it may have really helped to log that, so this week & weekend, I'm on it!

I'm off to a light workout this morning before the snow, but first I'll pray --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And, I'll pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way throughout this one day, and each one meal, moment, bite & emotion. I'm so very, very grateful for each of amazing you, my family & IRL friends, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love, hopefully including being able to fight off whatever is trying to ail me. xoxox

Hope you're not getting a cold, not fun. Thank you for sharing your tips yesterday. I never really thought about if I was really hungry but now realize it's just a bad habit that when I get home from work the first thing I do is look for something to eat. Now I put on the tea kettle and have a hot cup of tea. Thanks for helping me realize that. Hope your son is feeling better and able to get up and move around. My Brother in law had shoulder surgery and was very sore the first couple of days. Take care of yourself and have a great day.

Morning Ruth, glad your weigh in was 'kind' to you - lol. Take care of yourself over the next few days until that 'whatever' (cold, infection ???) decides to leave you alone. Maybe Caterina can take care of you as well as Kyle?

I agree with Isabel - sounds like time for you to cash in on some of those 'nurse' vouchers you're due from the kiddos. Take care of you and don't push it. And if you do get the cold... just fly down here and I'll make you my classic Bella Chicken Soup :-)
