Annabelle3117's Journal, 15 November 2013

Down a total of 27.2 pounds (11.29%) in the past ten weeks for the biggest loser challenge, and a total of 72.2 pounds (25.24%) since March 2013. I could not be more proud. What I am most proud about is that I have done this entirely the right way. I eat at least 1200 calories every day, usually more. I never starve, I have no magical pill, and I have never tried to trick the scale by fasting or taking laxatives the day before. I wanted this to be all me, and it has been. I kick ass at the gym, and it seems to be working out for me. I can't believe I'm less than fourteen pounds away from onederland... holy sheep shit. It seems surreal, I'm going to bask in that glory for a moment...

Okay, now the trick is going to be to keep losing next week, as my husbands birthday is Wednesday, with cheesecake and tamales. Holy Yum! I am more than capable, at this stage of the game, of waking up with a plan and sticking to it. Here goes! :-)

Today is the usual, but its Friday so that makes it better. Going to get a bottle of wine and celebrate tomorrow night. Cannot wait. And I think I'll go do some more layaway Christmas shopping before I hit the gym at 10 with my friend Judy. It's difficult with her sometimes because she isn't losing weight despite the extra activity, but wont take my advice to log her calories. Well, I cant help you then... ya know? She is eating more than she realizes, I believe, but until she is ready to face up to that not much I can do. It might not even be that she is eating a ton, but if she is eating processed foods, well we all know how calorie dense they are. I will try not to gloat too much around her lol.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday, thank you all for being my amazing support system!!

Yay for you!!!! AS for your friend - maybe you need to explain to her that everyone is different and that regardless of the weight if she is hitting the gym she is getting healthier. One day - she will look in the mirror and will see a significant change. What you are doing - that extreme weight loss is something that everyone can't do. We can do what our bodies allow. She should not try to mimik your losses but mimik your behavior. I have learned that i can't control the scale. But I can control what i do. The rest has to take car of itself.

So very happy for you, congratulations and of coarse you'll keep up the good work. BTW who was the winner at the Biggest Loser challenge?

Thank you everyone! I wouldn't go that far Suz lol, that would be nice but with the holidays coming up I'm not going to hold my breath. I will get there when I get there :-). I'm not sure who won yet Bea. They might announce the winner today, but more than likely they will wait to do it at the biggest loser party next Friday. The anticipation alone might kill me. They are having the party at this big fancy pants restaurant and wine bar. I really have no right being in a place that ritzy lol, so I plan on stopping in, hopefully collecting my winnings, maybe a quick glass of wine and out! I will let you all know as soon as I know.

I'm with you on that Yo...if I really, really wanted to I could hit onderland before Jan, but I really, really want to enjoy the holidays and not worry about losing a pound here and there. I am going to try and hit 205 before the end of the year, but if I don't no big deal :) Enjoy some wine for me...it has been a hot minute since I had any!!

You are a MACHINE - :) - so proud to have my horse hitched to your wagon. I JUST had the there's no "magic pill/magic formula/miracle-fad diet" to weight loss conversation with a friend. It takes focus, work, dedication (and yes rewards with cheesecake and tamales occasionally) (although hopefully not in that order). Pretty simple formula ::: Calorie Intake < Calories Expended = Safe Weight Loss. Congrats congrats!
