Captains log 11/08/13 - It is evident at this point that there is a conspiracy going on between my body and said 'scale'. Will continue this investigation weekly, until we get to the bottom of this mystery.

Alas, the teens just aren't for me. Better luck next week I suppose. Perhaps underneath this protective subcutaneous layer of fat I am developing body builder like strength? With the advice from my friend Suz I decided to take measurements as well this morning. I usually only do measurements once a month but if the scale isn't going to play by the rules than neither am I. I measure my bust, waist, hips, thigh and biceps. My bust and biceps have stayed the same in the last two weeks. However, I am down 2 inches in my waist, 1.5inches in my hips and in my thigh. All of these inch changes in only three pounds of loss. There's something to wrap my brain around.

Going to buy my husbands birthday gift today so not as much blog time as I'd like. I will be back soon :-)

Happy Friday everyone!

I re-weighed in when I got home from work, 218.8. That's the one i'm using, lol. I am going to take it and run with it.

218.8 lb Lost so far: 67.2 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

HORRAYYYYY...YAPPIEEEE....Did you notice that on the metric scale you just crossed the 100Kg (220 Lbs) mark. THAT IS ONE MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT...When I get there I want to buy a Red Hot Ferrari....You can definitely be proud of this accomplishment. So, it is normal for conspirators like your scale to plot a conspiracy. But, you are smarter than that..you know what the scale is downing and you can counter its attack...Mystery solved.

Yo... NO need to be "down"... and good luck investigating the "mystery" of the scale. You know my feelings on the damn thing (RNG)! I suggest you look at your "before/after" photos, and simply SMILE! Have a GREAT Friday yourself!

I am applauding you on those measurements!! You work so hard for them!! Keep up that great work Yolanda!!

I have never taken measurements. I was too afraid when I started to do it. Didn't want to know how large I really was. Now it seems dumb to start. I have a belt that I wear with my now getting too large jeans. That belt I have moved two holes down from where I used to use. One of these days I will measure that difference! ;)

You can definitely see the change in those measurements, so even if the scale isn't playing nice, the measurements are. Look at all you've accomplished in the last year and be proud of that, and throw that scale out. Darn thing anyway! You are doing great!! :)

Those are GREAT measurements....I told you the scale is a lying piece of crap!! Though mine actually moved down this morning and I haven't worked out in two days (yep water weight). I'm proud of you...keep up it chica!!! And keep measuring 1x a week...with all the gym work that is where you will see the losses.

Second weigh in of the day is much better! I'd go with it too if I was you! Have a great weekend!

Two inches off your waist in less than a month??? Hot damn, girl, you are ON FIRE!!! Keep it up. Scale-shmale...hug your measuring tape instead this week. :)

Thank you everyone!! The inches are quite remarkable and something to keep in mind when the scale is being ridiculously stubbourn. I still don't think ill do them weekly though Suz, I like waiting a while and being like hot damn 4 inches gone lol. Despite the scales desperate attempt at bringing me down I am happy to report I just finished up a killer ninety minute gym session, cardio and strength. I choose to look at it this way... less than twenty pounds till I get to onederland. Holy crapoli, never thought id make it this far lol. Thank all of you for your seemingly endless support <3 i hope I am to you what you all are to me. @ K you should definitely take measurements, its not too late! Measure everytime you hit a goal, you might be surprised at the results! @kkd I had a dream last night I put myself in a human size press to squeeze out the extra water before weigh in. Made me think of you! lol we really are a bunch of nut jobs!

My brother once told me that if I lost all my fat my legs would probably be huge because I've been carrying around over 300 lbs most of my days. So Yolanda your scale is just one of the tools you use to measure your accomplishments and I agree with taking out your before pictures and truly investigate your success on your body now. You're doing excellent work on you so keep it up. The scale is not telling you how fantastic you've been doing.
