Sometimes what you do to get better hurts worst than the problem. Hope you get better soon. Gosh I really feel for you. I had a ruptured disk and was in so much pain I could not sit. Pain radiated out my hip, down my leg and my foot was numb. This went on for 2 years before I just had to have surgery. Best thing I ever did. I was so scared of coming out of it paralyzed. But I didn't. Take care of you....Bren

Thanks Bren I don't think mine's that bad but I do believe I herniated one of my bulged disks. My husband had to have emergency back surgery in 08 so I know all about that road...

If you ever need the surgery have a doctor that works on nerves of the spine.

I'm really glad that you know a good surgeon when or if the time comes. My orthopedic surgeon did a good job on L-4 and L-5 disks. It took about six months for recovery. It didn't help that I was so overweight. After surgery I even gained more because I kept falling down. Surgery is a last resort as you well know with your husband. Hope you feel some better my friend.
