I have started Take Off again today for two days. I went in to weigh in so I would have an accurate idea of how much weight I can lose in two days and I was wholly disappointed. In the last two days I gained almost a pound. I'm not sure why this might happen, but I'm sure part of it has to do with the imitation chicken I ate (full of sodium and higher calories than a Boca burger) and the Newman's Own lo-fat dressing instead of using fat-free Italian. My counselor also suggested it might have something to do with eating peanut butter as my protein for the days leading up to this weigh-in. I've used peanut butter consistently throughout my weight loss, but usually only for one meal and this was for breakfast and lunch for two days. Put those three things together and you get .8 pounds of weight gain. Ugh.

And now today begins my Take-Off. I feel awful. Being a vegetarian, I usually get my protein from cheese or peanut butter. With this diet, it was suggested I use only egg whites for two days as my protein. Mix that with a lot of green vegetables that tend to make my gut ache and you get for one sick girl! My stomach is in knots and I feel really tired since I don't get to have any healthy carbohydrates. I've already eaten two green pepper omelettes, two LA Lite bars, grilled zucchini, plenty of water and the Take-Off juice today but I feel hungry. Or rather, my gut is telling me it needs more filling foods. I suppose feeling sick is not the same as feeling hungry.

I am set to head to Zumba this evening at the gym. I will do my best, but if my energy does not increase it won't be worth the drive. On an average night I work and work for an entire hour, and lately I've been doing an additional 15 minutes on the elliptical before class. Tonight may end up being a low-key night. What did I do to work out the last time I did a take-off? Hmmmm....

In the meantime, wish me luck on all these green veggies and egg whites! Yum yum!
