Ceebee's Journal, 18 November 2010

Yay! I lost 1.5 lbs that is awesome for the week I have had. I was over indulgent on the weekend and yesterday I ate a ton of salt. When the day started my ring was loose, then by 1030 last night I had to pop it off. :P so I would guess I am pretty salty today. Anyway we are having Thanksgiving this saturday because that is the day everyone can get together. I am making a side dish that is a bit more friendly. I plan on making butternut squash smashed up.. because I love it and I will bring some fruit in my purse. I am also making deviled eggs and of course pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and turkey cupcake. (I am the dessert person in our family) I know it will be a high calorie day. But if I eat more squash and and just get a one bite taste of cheesey potatoes maybe I will feel satisfied. Cause I love cheesey potatoes but those are a huge calorie bomb. So I guess I am saying I know I am going to go over my calories for the day. I am just trying to go over less. I really just dont want to give up my favorite foods for my favorite holiday.. I am still going to eat them.. just in smaller quantities and try to fill up on healthier choices.

Alright CeeBee. I know what you mean about the rings. I can always tell how my weigh in is going to go, by how tight my rings are. You would think that after 70 pounds, they would be loose all the time, but they do sill ge tight, just not to the point where they feel like I am going to have to amputate my finger to get them off. lol As for the cheesy potatoes...have you considered making the recipe using cauliflower instead of potatoes? I am making the broccoli rice that way, and it is delish!

Actually Ctlss when you were talking about your tg food plans the other day it made me think of a cauliflower dish I used to make when I was low carbin it. It was really good it was called cauliflower kugel. It was soo good. Maybe I will whip out those cook books and give them a look see.
