Yippi, I'm so happy today was my 2 wk induction weigh in and I lost 11pds total. I know I have A long way to go but I want to start learning more on how everything works before I move into OWL. I want to make sure that this time I don't fail. I want to make it a life long change and in order to do that I need to get comfortable with all the foods and how they affect me.

215.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 75.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Good for you, I only lost 2 my first week, I never got that big whoosh that some people due. If you want to find some of our Atkins group, go to my buddies and send them a request. Brandon is there(whoowah or something), he couldn't figure out how to add you, lol. I think you already got carey (rubyem), robin is mamabird, and nancy is nancy, trourke is tammy, I will be in induction for a long while, I have a low carb tolerance, insulin resistant, and most likely hypothyroid (need to get tested still) so I have to work really hard to lose every lb, some like carey never exercise, I have to twice a day! Just a note, make sure you eat more calories, set your RDI to calculate how much you should have. I gained my weight from not eating enough, your body goes into starvation, and stores everything you eat as fat, and starts to burn muscle instead of fat for fuel. My RDI is 2200 if I exercise and 2000 if I dont. And I have been losing by eating that much, its amazing! I was gaining weight like crazy because I was eating less than 1500 calories and exercising like a maniac. Good luck

Thanks, I believe that is where my problem is going to lay. I have been eating my 3 meals with 2 snacks. I'm having trouble meeting my RDI I feel like I'm pigging out and still not getting enough calories. If I go by the norm listed in the book. 1500-1800 calories a day. carb 5-10%, fat 60-70% & protein 25-30%. My protein was lower by 3% and my fat intake was over by 5%. I just barely made 1577 calories. I have to try to figure this out. I don't know if I'm freakin out but I don't want to fail on this. I really want to learn and do it right. About the add ons. I found Brandon I just clicked on his posted name and added and it worked. I guess I have to do that with everyone and see who is their carrier. That's the only way I know how to do it. Good luck to you as well and hang in there hopefully its not hypothyroidism.
