Johanne's Journal, 14 October 2010

I staggered my calories this week . . . up one day, down one day, etc. It seems to work nicely. I actually had a high calorie day yesterday before weigh in this morning, because I was out of the house all day until midnight, and still had a loss. I'm amazed.
242.6 lb Lost so far: 36.4 lb.    Still to go: 42.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I'm thinking the staggering calorie thing is not such a bad idea, and I've been all over the place the last month or so. I just try to set a maximum. For me, 1800 is about the limit and it almost seems like too much.

I've heard that varying your intake from daya to dya is very effective in losing weight

Your doing Great!! :D Mine is staggered too. At least 1200, at the most 1700. Seems to do well for me, and over the last month and a half I've mainly saw a loss in weight. ^.^ And all in all, I've managed to gain a bit more control where naughty sweets are concerned. I currently have Rolled hazelnut wafers in the cabinet, and a box of decadence biscotti. Though they're both pretty good on the calorie scale, I haven't had big urges to eat lots of them. :P Also the toddler seems to love the wafers. lol.
