Was on vacation last week, and stayed at my brother-in-law's house to dog-sit while he and his family were in Kentucky...and my eating was absolutely OUT OF CONTROL! I ate all day, every day, drank every night, barely ate any fruit or vegetables, and ate lots of fast food, even though I had plenty of time to cook. Now I feel like crap, I feel like I could have done so much more with my free time. I worked out once in seven days. Pathetic. I was one pound away from my first weight-loss reward (a mani-pedi, which is something special for this low-maintenance girl), and now I'm 3 pounds away. I really do better when my day is structured and busy, because I am the queen of boredom snacking. I've gained 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks, exactly the opposite of what I should have done! Now that I'm back to work, I'll at least have a limited amount of food to eat during the day and I'll be busy enough to not be constantly thinking of food. My husband also decided on a whim a few days ago that he'd like us to start going for walks together at night, which is great since I've generally been alone in my desire to exercise. It's nothing earth-shattering but it's a good start I think. Here's to a healthier, more productive week than last!
