Well, I thought I did really well for a week, but when I looked back, I actually only counted calories for almost a week, and only had 2 days that were actually low carb. I haven't checked, but I do think I was actually doing better about being physically active.

I've been thinking about some of my pitfalls. Emotional eating is right at the top. Next, and often related, is eating with my family. Not only is there tension, but my mother continually sabotages my lo-carb efforts. Then I also have the ever present justifications.

So what's the game plan? I'm trying to be emotionally centered, less influenced. I also realize that eating doesn't fix the problem. I'm also making an effort to prepare more meals, and avoid eating with the extended family so much. I'm also trying to increase salad intake for health and fullness. As far as justifications/condemnation - I will try to remember that a mistake doesn't ruin the day.

Ahh, mothers always think they know what's best and have no filter when expressing it either. At least my mother is like that. You have to do what's right for you. Wishing you well!
