Good morning!

It's Friday - and it doesn't start exactly as I would like it, but pretty much as I expected.

I'm up in weight, significantly, since yesterday. Yesterday, I dropped a whopping 3 lbs, and today two of those are back. Of course this is all water, and I'm not too concerned about it. Oh, and also - I had two reasonably large meals yesterday, something I don't do too often any more. They were fine on calories - I came out of yesterday with almost 300 calories available in my RDI - but they clearly weigh me down.

Just like my normal Saturday Morning weigh-ins, I do believe that the "remarkable" new lows are severely affected by water flushing out every time - of course hopefully with a fat loss too.

The point is that I do register every new low as a new low, and I take it on my pride. I couldn't reach 87.7 kilos by flushing out water when I weighed 150 kilos. Or when I weight 100. Or probably even 90. So there. It's all good.

Yesterday I was 87.7 kilos. Today I am 88.8. Hey, I'm still below 90 kilos, and that is awesome. Besides I still have tonight to get to a new low. LOL.

About that: Tonight, we're gonna go celebrate Daughter's birthday. This affects my weight loss in two ways:

1. No band practice. When I practice with The Black Peanut on Friday nights, I always have a massive weight drop the next morning. I don't get that option this week.

2. Sushi. Daughter loves sushi, so we're gonna take her and a few friends out for sushi at a "running sushi" place, which is essentially a buffet. The food is great, but also kind of a nemesis. I love sushi, and I LOVE the soy sauce!

Of course, the soy is full of sodium, our worst enemy when it comes to water retention.

Now, I am still keen on a new low tomorrow, whether it's realistic or not. So my game plan for today is simply to have super light meals with a lot of protein up until dinner.

I will consider this kind of a low cal day, but with an eye on filling foods and with the eye on the fact that I'll be at the gym this morning too.

So, essentially, I had 2 eggs for breakfast. Lunch? 2 eggs. lol. Yeah, that's all. It's enough though, and it will be worth it when it gets to sushi time.

I will simply go for the lighter sushis, the ones that don't look too bad for me, then I will weigh the pieces and go with those numbers when I enter them in my calorie counter as "generic sushi". I think that is the best I can do.

I might have a little soy sauce, but it will be strictly limited. Sushi just isn't the same without it, is it? :) Anyways, limited amounts of sushi equals limitied amount of soy.

Let's see where this takes me.

I am of course perfectly aware that I might NOT see a new low tomorrow. However, it doesn't mean that I shouldn't try. Besides, I have already seen a VERY NICE new low this week - yesterday. In my mind, the goal for the week is already reached. But it doesn't mean I can't try to reach it again, right?

...

I really liked reading the comment section under my journal yesterday. I love when something I babble for myself actually gets others to ponder on their own weight loss journey.

This is the way I have learned so much. By babbling to myself, and by reading journals and blogs and anything else I can get my hands on. Educate myself on the things that I clearly didn't know. Had I known them, I would never have weighed 155 kilos.

I really appreciate when you guys take the time to put a note for me.

I try hard to get to read and comment on my buddies' journals. I don't always make it to write - but rest assured that I read everything I can get to. I love following the ups and downs, and I love learning from you guys.

So often, I see that we are all in the same place. It seems that we struggle at the same times, we're on a roll at the same times. It's strange.

Anyways, it's time to get ready for gym. And work. And sushi. lol.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- FRIDAY!
- A non scary day out with full focus on my weight loss journey. I can do this!
- Morning coffee!

Happy Friday to all! Life is good!

3 pound loss yesterday, 2 pound gain today. That is still an average loss of a pound over 2 days. Not bad going KK :-). Enjoy your sushi.

Actually, it was TWO pounds lost the day before yesterday. So it's three lbs lost in three days. :) I'm not complaining in any way, it's just that I'd much rather see the lbs gone for good. Then again, one can't really complain. :)

3 lbs in 3 days is still good. Enjoy the sushi! You say you'll weigh it - do you have a scale that you take out with you??

You are on a roll - 3 lbs - awesome! I've been the same for over a couple of weeks. Looking forward to a loss next week. Hope your sushi is wonderful and hope you can enjoy it as if you weren't trying to lose weight.

I did bring a scale to weigh in. I have a nice, tiny little portable scale. I ended up not using it though. I decided that I was in good company on a friday night and just enjoyed the evening. I was reasonably conscious of the food though, and had not too much sushi, but afterwards probably went overboard on pineapple and grapes. Probably way too many calories, but not the horrible, horrible kind. Tomorrow will still "need" to be an Indulgence Day to some extend, as we have a house full of guests all day, but I will be conscious about the food and try to do better than on a normal Saturday. No matter what, Sunday will be a normal day, fully on the weight loss journey. I guess sometimes it's just not in the cards. I'll just have to suffer the consequences.

Happy birthday, Dee Dee. Isn't the problem with sushi, the rice? Well hope you enjoyed it anyway. Have a good normal, full weight loss journey day.
