Good morning!

Sometimes, when life gives you lemon - you get to make the sweetest lemonade! :)

My laptop broke down a few weeks ago. Fortunately - as my two year warranty has expired, as this is a laptop I bought in 2010 - I bought an extra five year warranty for it.

So, I had to send it in for repair. They have taken for frickin' ever to get it fixed, finding one thing wrong, the getting approval from the insurance company to fix it, then finding another thing, asking for approval, etc. - it seemed like they just kept on going.

Well, Tuesday, they are FINALLY done, and I got a message from them saying it was gonna go for final tests before shipping to me.

Then, an hour later, I got a new message that they needed new repairs as they - THEY - fried the motherboard in it.

I was SO ticked off. How long time is it NOW gonna be before I get my laptop back?

Well...

Yesterday, I got a new message. "Please contact your PC store for a replacement unit. Your laptop is beyond repair". Now, this is a pretty expensive laptop, so I was a little curious what they had in mind.

It turns out that they are looking at price much more than features. This means, because of the development in computers, that I get a SUPER UPGRADE on every front in my new laptop!

Larger harddrive. MUCH faster processor. Bluray player. Double the RAM. And so much more.

TOTAL WIN! SCORE!

This really made my day yesterday. And today too, for that matter. lol.

And today I really need something to cheer me up.

I slept HORRIBLY. I am so tired, and so exhausted. I'm dreading going to the gym because I know it's gonna kick my butt. But I will be going.

I gained weight. I did perfectly fine on the RDI, I was actually 250 calories low. But still gained weight. I am severely in the danger zone of not having lost ANYTHING over the course of the last week. Of course, there isn't much I can do about it. It just sucks.

That being said, I feel thinner today. I see it on several points. I just noticed this morning, as my foot was itchy, that I have thinner feet. That made me happy. lol.

I also could feel that I was different as I laid sleepless last night. This made me happy.

...

Today, I have decided to go with intermittend fasting. I skipped breakfast. I'm most likely gonna skip lunch too. Also, no snacks. Maybe a 4 cal bouillon, but that's it.

This has nothing to do with my weight gain today. This decision was made yesterday. I feel really good NOT eating a lot these days, and I'd really like to keep that feeling with me. So today I'm fasting.

I have a goal RDI of 600 though. This should be enough for a light dinner and an evening snack when I go play music tonight. It's totally accomplishable.

I am, of course, curious as to how I will feel AFTER the gym. Will I get extra hungry? I'm not gonna be giving myself protein right after. Meh. Normally I eat an egg, and that's about it.

I don't really feel that the gym is HARD enough that I'll be abusing my body or jeopardizing anything by not eating my egg. That's gonna be just fine.

It's gonna be a good day.

Right now, I'm at work. I had to go and print some more fliers for my weight loss class. The gym is almost out of fliers, which means that 70 people so far have taken one. I don't hear much from them though, so I am not sure how many are actually interested enough to sign up. However, the fact that the fliers are disappearing is reassuring. I'm putting up another 30 today.

I'm planning on running from work to the gym. Then do the workout. Then run as much as I can back to work. Then work. :) See, I have it ALL planned. lol.

However, if I want to stick to my schedule, I gotta get going.

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Feeling thin!
- Feeling Good!
- Being determined to take a Low Cal Day.
- Friday!
- And (duh) getting the news of a free, new laptop!

Happy Friday! Life is good!

EDIT:
I'm back at work after working out. Still not hungry - and I don't think that'll change for quite a while. It's a good feeling.

Workout was great. I upped the weight on 5 of the 12 machines. Not bad. :)
END OF EDIT.
201.5 lb Lost so far: 140.2 lb.    Still to go: 14.1 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

Yeah..... for feeling thinner :-). You know, as much as anyone, that sometimes the scale doesn't reflect weight loss immediately. Feeling thinner is a great sign for future loss... And let's be realistic, the scales are just a number, you are building muscle, so are bound to be slightly heavier - in fact, you have probably lost fat and replaced it with muscle, especially as you are upping your w/o's. Fantastic news about your laptop.... We had something similar years and years ago, when a tv we had (which had a warranty) broke, the guy came out to repair it and blew it up! So we got an upgraded replacement :-)

That is so cool about you new laptop!!! And bonus for feeling thinner! I am glad you went to the gym even though you felt it would kick your butt. I find on those days I have the best workouts!
