Down to 181.8 this morning. I suspect I it may have been lower but the morning 'constitutional' took place after weigh-in, after exercise, a bottle of water, and a cup of coffee!! LOL!!! I foolishly hoped since I 'gained' 2 lbs overnight the day before I would 'lose' 2 lbs last night but alas ... tis only one measurement and at least my ticker should be blue again!! So silly, I know.

Bedtime last night was quite eventful. As I lay in bed a migraine came on. Then I went to sleep and had a very strange and disturbing dream that electricity was radiating from our lights into my mouth and through my teeth!! I remember trying to scream, "NO! NO!" and I guess I finally groaned enough to wake up Bob who woke me up. Whew. Then I dreamt I was suicidal. No worries, folks, I am not, nor have I ever been (other than that dreaded depressed feeling many of us have experienced in life of momentarily wanting to "disappear") ... very strange dream. What a night!!

My husband tells me that the coyote I thought I saw yesterday morning might have been a wolf!! Usually the coyotes around here look rather scrawny and they don't usually aren't so brave as to stop and stare when someone or something notices them. This animal I saw yesterday was beautiful and stared at us a LONG time. Too bad I didn't have a camera handy. Needless to say, when I walked the dog yesterday morning I strapped on ... just in case!! Whatever I saw though was long gone and our walk was peaceful with no rounds fired!!

And so it is FRIDAY!! Yea!! My mom is leaving for 2 weeks to go see her sister in Southern California. She is sooo excited!!! They have a wonderful time together and I am glad they have the opportunity to spend some together. Their youngest sister (my age) will be coming over to visit for a day too. Wish I could transport myself down there for a day ... but alas ... the Star Trek transporter still isn't out for public use!!

And so let me count what I will focus today on being grateful for ...

1. waking up migraine free
2. seeing my mom so excited
3. the fun I have here on fatsecret
4. riding the waves of emotion and continuing on
5. FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY
6. a great sale on meat and Lean Cuisines/Stouffer products at Safeway!!!
7. An unbelievable thunder storm yesterday afternoon, evening, and night

And so the practice of kindness continues ... so important for me. I've been struggling a bit. Not really with weight, that is what it is but with other things and I catch myself berating myself and feeling like a 'failure'. What is different NOW is that I catch myself doing it. Even though I still 'feel' badly for a bit I can and do 're-frame' those thoughts, 'argue' with myself, and practice kindness towards myself. I know it makes a difference. The 'old' ways linger ... but they do lose power over the years ... if we become mindful, if we work at it, if we choose it. I hope those of you who struggle with similar things take heart ... and perhaps you have already discovered what I have discovered. If not, please take the time and energy to do so ... there is NO reason why we should feel 'less than', 'defeated', 'bad' about who we are. We indeed are only human. We indeed are fallible and make errors ... but we are wonderfully made too!!! We are precious, each of us. Have a fabulous Friday my friends and carry on!!! As Lisaonline would say .... TOWANDA!!!!

What great advice Carol. I can relate to those feelings you have been having and am always grateful when they subside. We do have lots to be thankful for and I am concentrating on that. You always give me a chuckle when you say you are strapping on. lol Glad your walk was peaceful and you didn't have to use it. Enjoy your day. Talk to you very soon!

Cathy ... I can hardly wait!!!! I suppose I should be careful about saying I am 'strapping on' ... it just occurred to me that could have many meanings!! YIKES!!!

On a serious thought, sometimes in life transitioning is suicidal so to speak. We are letting go of old habits, gaining new habits, changing perspective, going from a negative to a positive charge. I hope you understand what I am trying to say here. You are doing what is required to take care of yourself and You Are Worth It. TOWANDA!!

Nice drop especially after the water and coffee. I see that it's just the usual moods that afflict us all which are responsible for a slightly worried tone that I thought I had seen yesterdy. Have a great weekend moose.

Evan has dreams where he yells, and giggles all the time. I swear, I have no idea what that man is doing at night! One night he flipped himself out of bed, another night he started punching the head board!!! I asked him what was going on, and he said that a fire breathing clown was after me, so he punched him..... yeah.... Anyway, your doing great, and today is Friday the 13th - so have some fun with it!

Anne - I'm not sure it was a wolf ... but when I described it my husband said it didn't sound like it was a coyote!! Info - the 'drop' was BEFORE the coffee and water!!! And thank you for your kind concern ... I have been a little 'off' the past couple of days but you are correct, it is just the usual ups and downs of life. I am fine!! Sarah - too funny about Evan!!! I don't think I've ever punched the headboard!!

Yuck on the crazy dreams! I don't like nights like that, tend to throw my day off. Hope that's not the case for you. As for the creature you saw, realize that more & more wild animals are becoming desensitized to humans, so if an animal is staring at you, be careful. I don't know where you live, but I was just watching a program on this very thing & coyotes in Chicago are fearless. Either way, glad you didn't have to use any rounds ; p I'd like to teleport as well, but Scotty never returns my calls so who knows when the rest of us will have that technology. Enjoy your Friday!! = )

Your in the blue....yeah!!!!! That's GREAT!!!! Your such an inspiration to us ALL......even when skies are grey.....you ALWAYS remind us there is a rainbow behind those skies!!!! Here's to Friday the 13th and looking for that damn rainbow!!!! ;-) lol

Shay - I live on 20 acres in the middle of a forest!!! We see wildlife ALL the time - bear, moose, deer, elk, coyote, and so forth!! So thanks for the the concern!! I NEVER assume a wild animal is friendly!!

Yikes, what a dream (nightmare)! Maybe stay away from whatever you ate before bedtime last night? lol I hate having weird/scary dreams...I wake up feeling more tired than when I went to bed. :p

yikes! a wolf!!! scary stuff moose! Those dreams really affect our sleep- makes us feel as if we were up all night running only wake up more tired than we were when we went to bed. hope you have a better nights sleep tonight:)

Lol, I figured you live on some acreage but I had to throw my 2 cents in anyway. I used to live on 16 acres & coyotes would come right up to our back porch . . . until our big dog would go out there & scare the crap out of them ; p

Oh Moose, 20 acres. I would LOVE to live like that. How lovely to live that kind of life....and the peace..... guess I won't be creeping up on you if you're packing!! ~ LOL. But that dream, yikes. You know, I almost never remember my dreams. I very rarely recall anything and if I do it is so fleeting it's gone in 2 minutes. It's been a tough week for me and I really need to wind down. I really need to learn how to relax. I really need a break from all the issues in my life!!! Always so much to do and never enough time to do it. And, I am so very tired of working. I'm trying to hang in there for about 6 more years but I'm not sure if I will. I really want to live my life for me and not for a paycheck. We'll see. Have a wonderful weekend Moose and watch out for that wolf. It may still be around.

NN - keep practicing focusing on THIS moment and maybe the stresses of yesterday and the worries about tomorrow won't be quite as cumbersome!! I don't think we ever get a 'break' from the "issues" in life ... LOL!!! Unless of course we create the 'break' by deciding that we don't want to put our energy there for a period of time, be it 5 seconds or 5 minutes or whatever!! I know. Easier said than done. That said ... tomorrow is SATURDAY and that means no work, right??? Enjoy your weekend my friend!! And ... it is lovely here ... not sure I could do city life again or even neighborhood life ... I am SPOILED!!!
