Alright, so this isn't possible. How can I have ONE cheat day, and gain three pounds? I just don't think that it something that is humanly possible.

I told myself when I restarted my change and my work-outs, that I would let myself have ONE day where I could do whatever I wanted. And now I am disciplined enough where I don't go completely out of control. I don't eat a ton of potato chips and cookies and stuff that is generally bad for you. Yes, I drank, but I think I paid for that when I tossed my cookies at 1am. Not saying that is something to help my diet, but after not drinking for almost two weeks, and then putting back a bunch of shots, and having what my friends called a "roofie colada" (don't worry I was at my friend's house where there was no chance of roofie, just a really strong drink), and having a semi decent dinner of homemade seafood enchiladas, I just don't see how that can equate to a 3 pound gain.

Even so, I went to the gym last night to punish myself for my indiscretions the night before, and I worked on my workout plan put forth my trainer. So I burned at least 300 calories, and had a sensible dinner. No carbs, just chicken and salad. It isn't making sense. I feel like this was a problem I had last time, too, and it is very discouraging. I know it's just a fluke, and I'll probably work it off in a day or two, but it is getting me down.

Anyway, I had my first appointment with my trainer, and holy moly, he kicked my ass. He has me working on a few different machines to tone and lean out my back and arms, and a couple of ab and butt exercises.

I did the stretching parts he gave me, which include some planks, which I love and hate at the same time. Regular planks, I can do without even thinking about it. But the forearm planks and the walking planks, eeesh. Those are the worst. I have a faulty shoulder (it pops out a little bit), and that makes the walking planks hard to do. Also, I really hurt my forearms by doing the forearm planks on the carpet.

So, that's enough. I recorded my gain, so I am being accountable. I hope I am able to just work it off quickly. I am going to the gym tonight to work through my entire routine. And I am not necessarily looking forward to it, because I really JUST stopped being sore, but it's something that I must do. I gotta get these arms in shape (and everything else for that matter), in time for the wedding!

Happy Monday, everyone, I hope you didn't have such a terrible gain on Monday as I did.

I ate well all week, but had one glass of wine on Thursday, and one on Sunday, and both days I gained back the weight I had lost the rest of the week. Maybe booze just has to much sugar in it, even if you keep within your calories (which I did both days), no matter what it really hurts us... I don't know - All I know is my weight loss is NO WHERE near where it was when I was losing before...

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and do what works! I know it is discouraging but it will shake out in the long run. Hang in there my friend. I too faced an increase in the scale today and I did not drink! Go figure!
