posterchild66's Journal, 10 December 2012

Woohoo! Food! And I am down to 207.2 which is a good start to the week for me.

Yesterday I tried to eat lightly and mainly have juices & veggies only. I fell off the wagon at lunch a bit and had a whole wheat pita with some cheese, and veggies. It was too much after my long bike ride in the AM. Anyway, I probably had more calories than RDI because of Juice yesterday. And I felt very empty and hungry inside, I did not feel exhausted or spent though. By dinnertime it was all cleared up, and I had veggies and fruits.

That being said too, I was overly moody yesterday, and had some strange feelings. So, hmm.

I have a bit of homework left to do today. Work is busy, etc, etc.

I am gonna work out with weights tonight!

The "overly moody" part often begs us to snack, doesn't it? And it's super easy to go over RDI when you drink calorie heavy drinks - juice included. I remember being SHOCKED when I first learned how many calories are in a simple orange or apple juice.

I did not snack, and yes, juice is a lot of sugar, but no solids. I wonder how that works. Do you absorb it all? Does it pass in urine? Why cant we just drink sugar water and survive? Anyway, I ended the day very hungry that is for sure, but I felt pretty good today. Lean.

Would love to hear about the weights. What is your workout? How does it complement your cycling? Have a great day.

Woohoo is right! You're getting closer to the lowest weight you've been on here, which means you're getting closer to your goal; way cool. I did a juice fast when I was a teenage. We lived by a river where so many blackberries grew that we even made blackberry juice; drink much and what you "pass" is a blackish color; freaky. :o) I should try to follow your example and eat lightly; I see my neurologist on Wednesday & want to feel (and look) lean. It's been 6 months since my last appt, so the change should be impressive. Plus, my size 8 pants need to be a bit looser if I want to wear them to Christmas dinner. And I'd like to see what it feels like to weigh 130, or maybe in the 120s, since I'm only 5' 2 1/2" now. Whatever, I want to feel healthy!

Hehe, Heather, I am just a newbie on weights. I did a few sets of 8-10. Some curls, bench presses, lat pull downs, and of course squats. I read those squats are for us cyclists. I can feel that I will be in pain tomorrow. I worked out in like 20 minutes. My lower body is in killer shape (except my buns, but workin on it) so i needed to kick up the action up top. I am a fortunate one in that my body, muscles respond quickly, at least for a while. CrabbyKat, Thanks for the support! I was around 202-203 for a bit before my escapade to see my dad (and the subsequent party that happened along the way). I am hoping to get to onederland before the holiday, then blow it out and do it all again in Jan. But we'll see. I once drove a produce truck and while stocking it overloaded on grapes, so I am all to familiar what bad things fruits can do to you.
