I am still on the Xmas challenge, 2 1/2 weeks to go, 3.4 pounds to hit goal, may need an extra week or 2 for that. Headed now to France and Switzerland, sinfully good food and abundant wine ever present even at lunch. No gym. No scale. Long work days. Long working dinners. Plan some early morning activities: skip rope, pushups, wall sits. Walking. Portion control key here as choice is not always easy.
PS One thing good about the pre-trip is eating the refrigerator down. Not much food purchased in the last two weeks. That means eating even more fruits and veggies than the usual abundance. Ate the last of the frozen fish that I caught myself this past season. Still have an abundance of live oysters and free-range eggs, but those have a very long shelf life. I realize now that the key for me besides eliminating grains is to eat plenty of protein while keeping the calories down. Seafood works best for me. And there is one side effect... it tastes SO good when fresh.

You sound like you have a great fresh diet, of a variety of healthy foods. Hope you get through your trip ok and manage to cope with your long work days and lack of gym access. Good luck with the portion control, I know I would be very tempted to over do it with all the yummy food choices you will no doubt encounter while in Europe. Enjoy :)Cheers!
