Lost another pound and I believe it is directly related to the fast. I must've gotten some of the water out of my system cause I only walked downtown yesterday, I had some alcohol (low carb beer and a vodka), and I did not void before I weighed.

Although on the upside I finally did go afterward and I feel better. Here is staying on track; I am almost out of the 220's! I can taste it.

We will get some walking in today so here is to us all taking care of ourselves!
220.0 lb Lost so far: 28.0 lb.    Still to go: 20.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Do you find that you retain water when you low-carb? I am amazed how little water I retain, I can see every bone and vein in my feet, incredible! But when I eat bread or dessert...wow I gain like crazy! I did it on vacation in September and gained 12 lbs in 6 days, then lost 12 pounds in 7 days when I got home. I think I starved for so long I can't bear to do a fast now.

Congrats!! You may find that certain foods you eat will cause you to gain that water weight. I'm finding that out myself right now since I'm on limited things to eat. Now I can start making a list of those foods and realize it's just water weight and know to have little portions of it.

I don't retain as much water when I low-carb, BUT I have found that if I were to have the RDI of sodium then I would retain water. So I try to keep it low but that is hard....when it is high I water water water up until bedtime and even when I get up at night to use the bathroom I drink more water. Typically that flushes it all out. It is always something but you know I feel good and that is the most important thing for me.
