#2 son home safe & sound, #1 son arrives late Monday night, then the holidays officially begin:)! Hanging with my boy today, then he heads to visit friends in Boston tonight & the hubby and I meet friends for a sushi dinner. I love sushi but I always seem to be bloated the next day -- I assume its salty. Was looking over the menu, has anyone ever had seaweed salad? Any other healthy favorites I should try? We usually split some sashimi & a sushi roll. I know to watch the soy sauce, but still always seem to retain water the next day. Regardless, I'm going to enjoy the dinner with friends -- I know its really very healthy food -- and remember that the water retention will go away. Happy Weekend!

Very happy your family will be all together for Thanksgiving. I see from your Diet Calendar that you have scheduled the Seaweed Salad. You'll have to let us know how you liked it. Sorry I'm not a sushi eater but it could be the rice that is making you bloat. For me, rice is even worse than wheat.

Good point, BuffyBear, maybe I'll skip the roll & add miso soup & edamame instead.

Seaweed salad is delicious but salty - and Miso soup will have a lot of salt as well. sashimi and nigiri is usually best, and edamame is wonderfully healthy - protein and lower carb.

Sounds like fun ~ I usually go for the sashimi over the sushi too. I have it with miso & edamame frequently and fits right in with my RDI. Have a great time.
