Eringiffin's Journal, 11 November 2012

I wasn't going to weigh in but since I lost so much already this week, I couldn't wait to see it on my weight history. :)

This weekend has been going very well. I had a lot of temptations but so far I have been able to turn them all down.

Went to see the movie Flight yesterday. It was emotionally draining. Between the horror of the plane crash and the train wreck of the pilot's life, I was kind of numb afterwards. Good movie, though. Just don't go expecting something light and entertaining, hehe.

I am thankful for getting out and about this weekend. I don't connect with other people enough and this weekend was a nice change.

What a lovely journal to read today. AWESOME on the weight loss! By all means ... record those losses! *Happy dance!* Your movie sounded very stressful. Was it the new James Bond?

I am so so so excited for your loss! And happy to see you recording it on here! On that movie...I saw it last week, and also felt exhausted afterwards. Denzel was AMAZING. There was so much thought provoking symbolism on God's existence and how much control He has in our lives and events. I can't get anyone to discuss it with me! I want to see it again with someone who likes to have deep conversations about the meaning of life and God's involvement in our lives. Just a glimpse inside my head...

We should go see it again and have coffee together afterwards. :)

I'm up for that! By the way, Erin, I went back yesterday on the same trail, and it goes all the way to Shea (I was told)! It doesn't loop around, but there is a loop a little farther up that takes you back to the same trail down. I saw some people break off to a side trail that went up, so when we need more of a challenge, we can do that! i'll have to bring my trekker poles to come down though. My brother said that the poles can actually give you an upper body workout if you tighten the straps and take as much weight as you can on your arms going down. His wife told me that when you use them, it makes you stand up straighter and breathe better and actually walk faster. I'm going to try it, just have to figure out what to do with the dog leash.

That hike on Saturday destroyed me, lol. My legs and lower back are still sore. I guess that means it was a good workout. Hopefully I am not holding you back too much and next time I can go farther.

I don't care about the pace when I'm walking with you, I can get high intensity at other times if I feel I need it. Today, I've been getting on my stationary bike and pumping as hard as I can for 30 seconds, trying to build up to a minute. I hope you are feeling better now! It's a great workout on those hills!
