I went up. Nice. Thanks a lot stress! I am getting so frustrated. I am trying to hold my emotions together and my body. I am just so down right now. Tell me people...how do you keep up your diet when you are truly going through a life change? I have just recently separated out of a relationship that I was in for 7 years. We have a daughter together and although we are dping this civilly, there are things that I am going to miss about the relationship. There is that level of familiarity that you have with someone that when you let go of that, it is a little frightening. Because you are truly on your own. However, there is a level of excitement too because you get to make your own decisions and to improve yourself in ways that you can't when the relationship is toxic.

First of all, be good to yourself--emotionally, I mean. No matter how civil the end of a relastionship is, it is still painful. But you just have to find ways other than food to treat yourself well. Try something like a massage or pedicure as a treat. Take your daughter out to a park and just hang out with her--color with sidewalk chalk or teach her how to do a hula hoop or buy her a cheapie camera and let her take a bunch of pictures and then go home and do a scrap book. And you have the other idea right there--you can change yourself in any way that suits your fancy. Try a new hair color, join a new gym or swim laps at a community pool--it feels great to know you are doing something nice for yourself. And if you're going to give in and eat something because you are stressed then be picky--either make sure it's something you really really want or it's something really really healthy. Better yet, try to find something that's both--fresh strawberries, joicy watermelon, peach iced tea.......
