Gratefull's Journal, 28 August 2012

Yep. 168.8 once again. I always bounce back to this weight which is not a bad thing. Clearly I have reset my internal thermostat and this must be its preferred setting. Feeling lean and strong. I did 5 pullups in a row yesterday for the first time ever. That was encouraging.
168.8 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 3.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 5.6 lb a week

5 pullups is fantastic! That's actually my next goal with my personal trainer - to be able to do unassisted pullups. I was doing assisted pullups today - 6 sets of 3 reps - with 45 lbs and a bit of spotting from my trainer on the last few sets. I'm getting there! He helped me reach my goal of being able to do full body pushups. I'm not quite at the 20 I had originally set as a goal (have been able to do 15) but, considering I couldn't do ANY to start, it was a big improvement. Anyway, just saying that you can start from nothing and make a lot of headway in a pretty short amount of time if you just stick with it. Do you have a goal in mind to be able to do a certain number of pullups?

I would love to be able to do 20. I guess at this point I was just surprised that I could do any!! I have been lifting so I am sure that's helped give me the ability to do 5. Congratulations on your success. I have been told that you just need to try and do 1 extra each time. That's my goal at this point.

Congrats on the pull ups. It's always satisfying to achieve something that once seemed impossible.
