Hello all! I am still around just had to take a break last week...

First off...I have to say a big SORRY to my trailblazers! Other then some walking and by some I really mean very little and by very little I mean none. This Saturday I am waling two miles for the MS walk so maybe between that and what I do this week... I am sorry I let you guys down!

My mom went to Hospital ER on Tuesday at 5:00 AM and we did not leave until 4:00 PM. If I could count pacing the floor, I would but I have no idea for how long I did that for, lol. The rest of the week went much like this... Walk to mom's at 6:00AM (did I mention that my husband's car was in the shop?) with toddler, take bus to babysitter's, take bus downtown to work (repeat on Thursday). My husband picked me up after work and dropped me by mom's while he got our son and then I went home to make dinner. I was just exhausted. I took Friday off and meant to do nothing but with said toddler went to mom's, then to local wholesale club and target then back to mom's. Gave mom a bath on Saturday and cleaned her house in the morning. Did get a bike seat for toddler to go biking with us and while out had to get some ice cream, lol. By Sunday, Mom was getting along by herself better and today she is on her own!

Let me tell you though... I had forgotten that I invited my husband's cousin over for dinner and she phoned about noon to say she will be at our house at 2:00. I had forgotten! On top of that I had defrosted pork for dinner and she does not eat that nor red meat! Off to grocery store with toddler to get supplies, made chili (love this recipe!), corn bread for the hubby and toddler and the diet coke cake. In addition, cleaned the bathroom and picked up the living room and dinning room (total disaster) and showered all before she arrived! I was so amazed at myself. I so rock, lol! hehehehe...

Anyway... Here is to a new week?

I feel like I am never going to reach my goal weight.

Family emergencies trump weight loss challenges every time! Don't worry about letting the team down. You didn't! I hope your mom is doing well. You know you had a stressful week when you plum fogot about the company you had invited for Saturday! But it sounds like you made a fantastic comeback and I'm sure she never knew how quickly you threw everything together. What they don't know, won't hurt them! And you have done so well already. The weight may be coming off slower than you would like but as long as you keep at it, it WILL come off. Persistence pays off! I hope this week is easier on you than last week.

I agree, you're doing a fantastic job and not giving in to pressure and gaining during your difficult week is an achievement in itself. Your weight continues to go downward and thats excellent! slow and steady wins the race!

all that running around with toddler in tow, taking care of mom, cooking, and cleaning---that's exercise, too, ya know? It's exhausting just reading all the amount of work you did last week, and the stuff you went through! Hang in there---you're doing great despite all the stressors and challenges. And don't worry about the team--they seem to have forgiven me so why not you too? :)
