Congratulations!! If you can stay on track the first 3 weeks, it becomes second nature. I completed the program and feel great! Best of luck to you :)

Way to go. keep it up,follow the protocol, at your weight, extra protein will be a help. When I started at 260 pounds, there was no clinic within 3 hour drive so bought 2 months worth and read the web site of Dr Tran Tien. Everything is there. So I used egg whites every morning instead of the boxed stuff, 4 egg whites equals 12 g protein, (should have used 5 to get up to 15.) I also used some whey protein. Seriously motivated and lost 4 lb per week for the first 10 weeks and slowed to 3 lb per week until reached 175. Unfortunately with no clinic close, I did not follow protocol for phase 2 and 3 and 4 and therefore gained back to 190 over the next year, and to 194 finally after 4 years. This year my daughter is getting married and I want to fit my old Tuxedo. I figure 170 will be perfect, but 180 will do if keep buttons undone. What I'm trying to say, is it works. I believe if I had used the envelopes I would have lost the 5 lbs per week, but 4 per worked for me anyway. So far this time I have been pretty strict on protocol and lost 8 lbs in two weeks. I have 4 weeks to go and 15 lbs to 170, 5 lbs to 180. I am going to make it into the damn tux. I have found that if I make sure to eat something every 4 hours in the day, and don't get overhungry because of delayed meals, it is an easy diet to follow. And I have tried many others. This is the first one that worked to keep the weight off. Good luck to you, I suggest you find a buddy to help you, I worked with my wife who lost 60 lbs in the same time I lost my 85 lbs. She went from size 18, 200 lb to size 6 (HOT) and 140 lbs.

Thatnks for the advice! I started out with my wife, but it turns out I am going to be a dad :) and she can no longer be in ketosis and has dropped off the diet. I did atkins when I was in college and had good results, so I have no doubts this will work for me. I really appreciate the advice with the egg whites, I love to cook, and eat real food, which I think is my bigges hurdle with this diet. That and I reeeeaaly don't like the fact that you get "scolded" when you don't follow protocol and eat proteins and or ask about generic vitamins instead of theirs. Last time i checked I was paying them??
