I am going to punch somebody in the face if I don't stop gaining weight. Nothing's changed! If anything I'm eating less and exercising more. And I'm trying not to rip my muscles all to you know what after the pain of last week bu I'm still working hard. I definitely have a huge deficit, I should at least not be gaining. Sorry for the violence.

you know what? I feel the same way! I know I'm doing what I need to be doing, but the scale shows I've gained 2 pounds. I'm going to have to stop stepping on it because it doesn't ruin my day, but I think I've started flipping it off and calling it names. But, I'm feeling happy and energetic, and some of my pants are acting like they are going to fall off of me. So, I'm gonna try to focus on that. Are you seeing any of that type of positive effect?? Someone said that making these changes is good no matter what. And losing weight is just a side effect. I'm sorta living that right now. But, I still the scale is a b*tch.

I have lost some inches, but not near what I'd like it to be, and all of my pants were so tight to begin with, now they're just slightly less tight which is discouraging that they're still kinda tight. I do feel a lot better, but I have a loooong way to go to my goal. Anyway, trying to think positively, going or a swim so the sunshine will be nice and I feel better with a tan. Good luck to both of us!

Hey- when you start a new exercise routine, it is totally normal to see a gain on the scale. Your muscles retain extra water when they are healing. So don't worry, if you're exercising and eating right, you are NOT gaining fat. It simply doesn't work that way. Trust yourself. I know it's annoying when the scale won't cooperate, but it's just part of the whole deal. I used to really struggle when the scale didn't budge and get all mad and whatnot, but then I just decided, you know what? I can't control it! I can control what I eat and how much I exercise, but the scale is going to do what it's going to do. And believe it or not, that's when I started losing weight regularly- the day I stopped stressing about it. You can look and see it on my weight history- Jan 1 2010 is the day it happened :) Anyway, good luck and try not to let it get you down. It doesn't mean much anyway.

I mean, your calorie intake seems OK, and I didn't look at the carbs, but your sodium intake is HUGE. Maybe try to cut back on foods that are high in salt, and see what happens. And if your carb intake is high, try and cut that down as well. Just do it for a week, and see what happens - can't hurt!

Thanks everyone for the input and support! Momo, I have cut back a lot on salt overall, and it's almost in the recommended range of below 2400, but my hubby has a serious salt deficiency so I can't cut it out of everything. I already make different meals for us most times, but I should probably work harder at getting it lower and find even more substitutions for me. My carbs are below 50% average, so idk, maybe they could go lower? Anyway, thanks guys!
