Well, the party I went to last night creeped up on me this morning.

I did so well during the day. Kept following the low carb routine, with the addition of an apple. I sliced an apple and had a nibble on it every ten minutes or so, just to keep my glycemic levels steady.

But in the evening I had to go to a dinner and though I didnt partake of any breads or pasta there, I did end up binging on a carrot cake. Dont get me wrong, I am really disciplined. I have managed to lose so much weight in only a week already because I am maintaining my discipline.

The problem I have a sweet tooth and two...I havent eaten a carrot cake in about six or seven years. Ever since I moved away from the USA, I havent 'bumped' into a carrot cake in all that time!

Had it been any other type of cake or dessert, I might not have stumbled. The worst part was..I had placed two slices in my plate, one for my son and one for me, so when the little un didnt eat his, I was naughty and finished it for him!

But I am not too bothered. I know it was a one off thing. I am not invited to any more parties for the time being so it will be back to the treadmill and my new way of life...low carb, reduced calories and low glycemic food.

153.0 lb Lost so far: 7.0 lb.    Still to go: 28.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
