Yep. Mixing something up might help break the plateau. Maybe something as simple as increasing protein, or reducing carbs. Well, when I say reduce carbs, I don't mean something like atkins (gross). I have been working on eating less sugar lately, and eating more leafy greens. So, instead of eating something with bread/on a sandwich, I eat it with leafy greens. Example: yesterday I had BBQ tofu, which would have been great on a sandwich, but I had it on a bed of spinach instead. It was still delicious! So maybe try avoiding very starchy/sugary foods for a little while and see if that helps? Plus, the greens are WAY high in nutrients, so that can't hurt. :) You might also try increasing the intensity of your exercise, if you can. Good luck!

One of my tips, just go with what the scale says the first time D: My scale tricks me a lot too ): Looking at your diet calendar though, if you're not logging all of your food, my tip might not be of importance, however, if you don't eat around the same amount of calories each day, it makes losing weight a lot harder. You're tricking your body into thinking it's getting a lot of food one day, and the next day you might not eat as much, and it's going to go, what is going on?! and hold on to all of that food because it thinks it's starving. I would pick a calorie number, and stick with it each day, it helps a lot! Also, tracking all of your food definitely helps too! Hope this helps. Just don't lose faith! It will happen! (:

I agree with all these comments, and would encourage mixing up the exercise to break a plateau - that is what worked for me. And, to not let the calories go too low either, becasue as Asarver mentioned, the body will hold on to the fat if it goes into conservation mode. One final thing I learned about my scale: there are little feet on the bottom that regulate the actual balance of the scale. I made sure they were evenly adjusted so the scale was as flat a surface as possible before stepping on to weigh. This gives me a consistent read out three times in a row and that is the weight I use. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks, star! I'm definitely trying to up my protein and exercise and eat more leafy stuff than carbs. I did pretty terribly this weekend (but at least it was delicious- ha!) I heard protein shakes do no good unless you're seriously working out so I'm taking that into consideration, too. Yeah, scales are so weird, Asarv! It'd be great to think I'm 159lbs lol! :D That's smart about doing a certain amount of calories each day. Didn't think about that but it makes a lot of sense. Thanks, I think I'll start counting calories again. HCB you got it. When I ate less I gained weight. When I ate often throughout the day and exercised/had a balance life, things were working. It's all about the balance :D Ooh I'll check out my scale more. Sounds smart. Thanks!
