Thanks guys! I’m definitely tired of this cycle every few weeks. I stop losing weight and gain a bit. I feel miserable and crave food like crazy. Especially chocolate 😫

Up your magnesium intake and your salt and water intake to help flush the excess water and bloating. It sounds counter intuitive but it should work. LOL 🙋🏻

Wow, thank you. Another victim of our wonderful womanhood. Thank you for sharing. Being a man seems much easier, my husband is always Happy!

Cocoa has one of the highest levels of magnesium found in nature, there is a reason we crave it. 🤷🏻‍♀️We are trying to replace it as we use it. 🙋🏻

been there :/ matter of fact I dare say it's almost monthly hahahaha- it throws a wrench in things for sure but you'll bounce back soon enough ♡

Roughest time of the month ever! I’ve found some ways to help with my cravings! Sugar free jello, strawberries w/ sugar free whipped cream, Russell stover sugar free chocolates ❣️ I thought the sugar free chocolates would not work but they do! Especially the coconut ones! There’s many to choose from! They’re like 1.50 for 4-6 pieces but hey! They work when needed! For sure! Good luck and stay motivated!

Thanks everyone! So glad I’m not alone in this struggle! So interesting about the magnesium and chocolate! It’s the only thing in my blood tests that was below normal. I take magnesium every day but need to take more obviously! I crave dark chocolate like crazy. Thanks smprowett!!

@momma6224, Just saying hello, sorry to hear of your womanly woes......I wish you a quick return!!! .....You had better have made it to the gym in recent weeks!!!!! Last week was a bit backa##wards and things didn't quite go smoothly over the weekend. Lost power due to storms for 2 days, had to throw out some foods we just purchased for my meal planning....so starting back at square 1 today. Don't get discouraged, weight fluctuates a bit throughout any given day...Been experimenting lately, will keep you and others apprised of the outcome as it may provide help with weight issues. Not quite sure about the strength of your chocolate cravings, but there is a slight suggestion for you---- while I don't recommend this on a daily basis, it has helped me kick some of the sweet tooth which activates from time to time ----> My family loves sweets as well, I'm trying to eliminate as much of them as possible. So we've purchased a small bag of hershey's kisses with an almond inside of them ----we keep them inside the door of the refrigerator. When the sweet tooth gets activated I ,or anyone for that matter, eats only 2 intermittently with a large glass of cold skim milk or other low fat alternative. Additionally, if this idea does not appeal to you or others, I substitute Classic Malt or Rick Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast Essentials (contains vitamins and Protein) mixed with a large cold glass of low fat milk. These two ideas seem to quench my chocolate/sweet cravings and do not crush your healthy eating plan. Again use moderation as suggested here, not daily.....but either way your getting a good fat with almond and chocolate (cocoa bean), and or essential vitamins and Protein from the other....!!!! Good luck ....let me know if you try it and how it works. But please use it as suggested here..... :D

I add Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa powder to my smoothies or sprinkle it on strawberries. 🤷🏻‍♀️But for magnesium supplements stay away from Magnesium Oxide, you absorb less than 2% the rest acts as a digestive aid. Magnesium Citrate is 20%, the Chelated Magnesiums fall somewhere in that range of 20-40% depending on their mix of types of magnesiums. Liquid ‘ionic’ magnesium is the only one that is almost 100% absorbed. It tastes nasty and isn’t that cheap, but doesn’t work as a laxative either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks guys🙂 no gym time yet, wright! This makes me sad but I cannot get my husband to commit to taking me. He says he will then backs out before we leave. Time to get brave and go alone or make an appointment with the trainer there. It’s hard when I still have a 2 year old at home I also have to schedule around. I’ve kept at my home workouts and my diet plan other than a bit more dark chocolate than I should have this week. This will pass and I’ll get back on track it’s just frustrating these set backs happen every few weeks. I appreciate everyone’s help and support so much!

I had 3 weeks of that last week - LOL - I am feeling your pain, and I am experiencing the same ups and downs at this point - The way to look at it now, you are in a different stage, losing becomes harder, but the happy part is the clothes, that you are almost there, get out pictures where you were and you will be very happy - I guarantee it - I knew this guy from the suit place - LOL - Don't beat yourself up, relax, do something you really enjoy today - YOU ARE DOING IT

Marsha, I agree!!! hey, momma, don't forget to try the magnesium oil spray! Best thing I ever invested in. Amazon! I spray it on my chest after showering. Added benefit is my skin is silky smooth there! 😋 I can always tell when my cycle is coming 'round cuz I want salt and chocolate, so I find it quite interesting that an increase in sodium and chocolate is just the ticket! Our bodies know what we need! As much as I hate my monthly, not sure I'm ready for menopause either, tho it's lurking in the shadows, lol. I swear my hubby has his own pms, cuz he gets downright grumpy and a pill to live with!! LOL I've told him so too, hahaha. You'll be on maintenance in no time!
