I feel great!

I wish the visible results were quicker to appear. Sure, my boobs and waist have shrunk a bit, but it's not like anyone would notice (though my mom says I look a bit thinner to her).

I sure notice the difference in my walks with the dog (it's not a hiking trail but there are hilly parts where I get out of breath, and lately I've been not as out of breath as I had been), and in my endurance on the elliptical. Normally, after 20 minutes (plus 5-min. cooldown) I was toast. Now I easily do 30 mins. I'm going to up it to 35 and keep upping it every time I start feeling it's too easy.

I'm taking part in two simultaneous challenges right now. The "Lose 30 lbs. by July 4" one on Fatsecret (mini-challenges within that are to exercise for a min. of 30 mins. every day and to not consume any soda). Then, at work we have what's called Stepping Out, which is an initiative to get teams of people from the various departments to log their activity minutes (the goal is a min. of 20 mins. exercise each day) and submit their team's total at the end of each week. So even though I'm already doing my 30 mins. minimum per day for the Fatsecret challenge, I still want to get our team into the draws by getting as many minutes logged as possible. So I have double the drive!

My next goal is to do some meal planning this weekend or at least find some recipes to try. I need to change things up a bit and keep my eating fresh and fun so I don't get bored. It's not as hard as it once was (in fact, it's pretty damn easy), but my concern is I will eventually get bored, so I want to be ahead of the game and not let that happen. Plus, I LOVE to cook and am good at it. So it's win-win.
258.0 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 8.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
