Socolova's Journal, 30 October 2014

Well hello :)

I guess I was right, dropped a pound since yesterday from being sick. It's hard to eat solid things when ya feel like poop. I will admit I had frozen yogurt and animal crackers for dinner. When you're sick though, I think it's ok to spoil yourself a little. Well, whether it's ok or not, I did it haha. I do feel a smidge better today, just exhausted. Hopefully by the weekend, I'll be a-okay.

Nothing exciting planned for the weekend, handing out some candy tomorrow and then dinner with the hubby since we missed date night from me being ill. Hoping for a relaxing weekend, we're always go go go and it'd be nice to just relax with the pups and catch up. It's gonna be hard to do much if it's snowing anyway...ugh...

GIRL TALK ALERT: I am a little excited about something a little silly, I have never bought leggings and I just bought some. Now, the reason I have never bought them is because I once saw a bigger girl bend over and I could see her undies through the stretching material. But, I feel since I am officially down to a 12 that I am allowed to at least "try" them. I bought a few cute tunics and longer tanks so I can ease into the idea. But I will definitely bend over in front of a mirror before going into public...butt crack is one thing, but my whole butt is another (and it's a big butt lol).

Other than that, I'm just keeping on, keeping on.....hope you are all having a good Thursday...almost Friday yay :)

I LOVE leggings!!! I wear them allll the time in the fall and winter. I'm 100% with you on being careful with them though... I don't care how small people are, there are so many times that you can see people's underwear through them. I never wear them with shorter shirts, just longer ones. It's really hard to find thick leggings that aren't see-through! Glad you're feeling better, and hope you feel good enough to enjoy your weekend!

I'm glad you're feeling better, and if you have to be sick might as well get a weight loss benefit from it. Being a guy I can't really relate to the leggings thing, but I can tell you all about working man's cleavage! Have a great date night with the hubby.

Thanks, Kiddos :) Bri, I got fleece-lined ones so hopefully those are thicker....

I live in some sort of legging/yoga pants/running pants 8 months of the year, it seems (the other 4 months is running shorts and skirts)! Can't beat 'em for comfort and versatility. The best undies I've found for leggings are "Breathe by Barely There Boy Shorts". Great coverage and practically invisible under even the tightest leggings.

Haha NM....I'm just not like a "girl talk" kinda girl so I didn't want people to perceive that I was lol

I can relate. I have black pants from a really thin material. I didn't realize that everyone can see the big yellow smiley on the back of my panties until my bf noticed LOL

You girls are funny! For the record, I have never bought leggings before either! I did have a pair of lycra runner tights in college (circa 1988, 165 lbs)... but I only wore them at night if I did venture out on a run (rare). GUY TALK ALERT... I am happy to announce that I have officially stopped wearing the same style fruit of the loom whity-tighty underwear (we don't call then undies) I had worn for 48 years... had not done laundry for awhile so I stole a pair of "performance briefs" from my 18 year old son's drawer... LOVED THEM! Immediately went and bought 16 pair for myself. Besides, after losing almost 70 lbs, the "tightys" were not so tight anymore!

Lol, I hear ya. I have plenty of junk in the trunk and completely understand having to make sure everything is concealed. If you go to Macy's, the brand INC currently has thicker leggins that are closer to a pant. I LOVE them, they fit great, no see-through, comfy, and they don't creep down on you like a lot of cheaper leggings to (resulting in the crotch of your leggings somewhere around mid-thigh despite being pulled up to your neck).

There are a coupld of girls here at work who wear leggings with the longer shirts, empire waist, and tall boots. It's a very attractive look, and I want to give it a try eventually.
