I weighed myself after my smoothie this morning, and was drinking a lot of water for leg cramps from running.

I hope that's where the 3 lbs increase came from.

working out again every morning, enjoying being back in the gym, holding fast on the paleo.
247.6 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 37.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 21.0 lb a week


Comments 
You have to weigh same time, same scale, same clothes, same everything to accurately gauge weight loss. Moving the scale around can effect the scale (should always be hard level floor). Food and liquids will add pounds, so it might be good to weigh right after waking up (before eating or drinking anything) and after going to the bathroom. The most important thing is consistency though.
