Tina Akta's Journal, 25 October 2016

Today was the most difficult day since I've made my vegan transition. I felt really hungry and for the first time in four weeks and three days I wanted to taste some chicken breast. I didn't but it wasn't easy. I ate more grapes and two small croutons instead. However, it was hard because I am still hungry and I normally don't eat after 7 pm. I've here at my computer for the past 13 hours and it kills me. My head hurts and my eyes are burning. I should sleep more tonight.

Kudos :) I have been dairy free for over 1 1/2 years now and meat free since the beginning of August. Some people don't find the transition easy but there are a few good option of fake meat about to make it easier. The best one in my opinion is Jackfruit, but Linda McCartney has lots of vegan options and Quorn is starting to follow. Just don't try the vegan 'chicken' pieces....they are veil :)

Thanks for your support! I try to stay away from anything "fake". However, I believe I would have definitely looked into your suggestions if I were living in the States, which I am not. I am better today and 1 day of craving in more than 30 days of diet is not that much if you think about it. I miss eggs though but I can definitely live without meat and the rest. My mom cooks wonderfully and the whole house smells great but when I think of the dead animals in the fridge, the smell turns rotten. I try to prepare my meals out of fresh ingredients as much as possible. The whole point is that I feel better and losing weight slowly but surely. It helps being here with you guys because it feels like I am not alone.
